If you ride terrain like this then they are a must! In fact anytime you take this beast on a dirt road you should prepare for this kind of terrain. Yesterdays smooth fire road can turn into todays rock slide.

Some people have a hard time differentiating an ADVENTURE ROAD bike to a dirt bike. The S10 is very capable of off tarmac motorcycle touring but would you take your pickup truck down the same place you would an ATV or SXS???I had the upper AltRiders save my radiator from damage. I have the AltRider upper and lower combination with a Hepco Becker skid plate. This Outback Motortrek setup with their skid plate really looks good. I like the way the skidplate is mounted to the crash bars and the price seems reasonable. I never heard of these before.
