I just rode my S10 from Adelaide to Sydney to load the bike on the container taking it to Portland for our 12 week tour of North America. The ride was great and very comfortable considering I have the stock seat still on and the ride was 14 hours with only fuel breaks. Most of the 1400km was great but got rather cold riding from Wagga Wagga to the outskirts of Sydney. I am now thinking seriously about heated grips for the trip.Tried my new Zeus 3000a helmet and was very pleased with the fit and comfort, though being a modular it was a little noisy. Our bike arrives in Portland on July 2nd and after fitting out the bike with some new gear we head north on July 8th. Our basic route will be Portland to Fairbanks via Hyder and Haines. Then after Fairbanks and surrounding area Top of World Highway and then Campbell Highway and across nothern Canada to the Great Lakes. After a 10 day break we are hoping to head south to New Orleans before returning to Portlanf through the Rockies .
Hope to catch up with other S10 Riders along the way.

Here is a route to check out . Going north from Portland turn at Olympia onto 101 great views on the Olympic pennisula.
Follow 101 to the Port Angles from there take the Blackball ferry to Victoria BC Canada.
This way you won't end up in a 45 minute border lineup.
Ride up Vancouver Island to Nanaimo take the Departure bay ferry to Horseshoe bay. Turn right to visit Vancouver or left to the Sea to Sky hwy and Whistler mountain.
Carry on to Pemberton and the Duffey lake road this is one of best rides in BC.
You will come out at Lillooet in the BC interior a warm dry desert climate.
