Hi, after many years using my Vstrom, I added regular gas 87 instead of premium 91 to my S10. I only rode it for 2 miles home. Bike has 250 miles.

Should I:
- syphon gas out and pump in new gas
- add an octane booster into tank, friend told me I can buy it at auto parts store
- do nothing and ride bike

Thanks

No problem, many folks on this forum only use regular 87. Do a search and you'll sleep better.

I can be over in an hour or so and we can siphon it out together.
We can put the regular gas in my bike.
:D

I wouldn't worry about it. If it really bothers you, add some octane booster. R

No problem... As others have said, you can run just about anything you want.. I run 'mid' grade all the time... I have pumped in 'low' grade before with no issues...

I would worry a lot and go ride it right away, burn up all the gas, add more, ride more, add more, ride more ;D
+1, I'd have to go ride that tank away, just in case ;)

I wouldn't worry about it. But I wouldn't make a habit of it, either.

Yes, I should have added that before. Premium is recommended for a reason. An occasional tank of regular shouldn't hurt anything, but don't do it consistently. I keep a little jug of octane booster. That should solve your problem. For you guys coming up this way this summer, it's not uncommon to find only regular gas in some of the smaller communities. Be prepared. R

I did that by habit also. In CA we have the worst gas of any of ya'll, I noticed a little more flat in midrange and thought thats strainge...then whoa! ??? By then I needed to get gas so put the good stuff in and all is good.
