ACD Skid Plate, 2012-13, Titanium color

I purchased the ACD Skid Plate late last year for my 2012 Tenere. I sold (traded-in) the 2012 before installing the ACD Skid Plate. Purchased a 2015 ES but... this skid plate does not fit 2014+.

I'm not Tim, but can answer that yes, it is the larger cat in the exhaust on the 14 and 15 that calls for a different model ACD plate. I have one on my 14.

Yes, they had to lengthen the rear bracket slightly to clear the new cat.

My buddy was telling me there might have to be some modification done in order for it to fit with certain crash bars? Do you know if thats true? I have HT crash bars on mine and am interested. Thanks

The early ACD skid plates had fit issues but I don't know of any modifications needed after ACD made the final fit. You can contact ACD and/or HT to ask them if there is a fit problem. I would but don't know what HT is short for.

Ok....I will check with them tomorrow. HT is Happy Trails. I have their crash bars..kinda similar to SW Motechs design. If there are no fitment issues, which I'm sure there are none with the final design...I'd like to purchase it. I will get back with you tomorrow! Thanks!

Hi Eric. Riding my KLR tonight and remembered what HT meant. I have many Happy Trail parts on my KLR.

Hope the ACD skid plate will fit. Let me know either way. Thanks.

there should be zero issues with the crash bars.
I did have to shim the rear of my plate to fit the 2012. ACD played dumb, and never admitted to the fact that the bracket was too short.
I bought some fat washers (1/4" thick, and about 1/1/2" in diameter, drilled and tapped them to the plate, and then fastened that to the bracket.
job done.
