Accessory plug pin-out?

Sorry if this has been posted, my limited search skills weren't able to find it. On the 3P accessory connector next to the battery I know one conductor is hot with the ignition but what do the other two do? Also, I have a second unused, I think 4P connector in the same location, but I haven't been able to find any reference to it other than for adding the factory heated grips. My'15 ES already has the factory heated grips so what is that one for and is there a known pin-out for it? Thanks

Howdy,
Sorry, don't know the pin out but it's the auxiliary light option. Do a search on PIA 530 LED's. Also Eastern Beaver has the OEM connectors to hook up your lights of choice.

Thanks Norm, I failed to mention I knew it was for the accessory lights. What I'm curious about though is if there's a switched control through an existing switch somehow? And why accessory lights need a switched source that's always on when the ignition is on? Then there is that second unused connector mystery...

On the 3P connector, IIRC, the brown wire is switched with the ignition key, while the red wire is always hot and fused at 20amps.

Hello,
You are right the second 4 pin connector is for the heated grip option and it is also switched with the ignition.

My bike has the heated grips factory installed yet that connector is unused? So am I correct to say there are two switched hot leads and two grounds?

Hi,
Mine is a 2012. There are only two unused connectors under the cover. I have the OEM heated grips which is using one and I used the other to power my PIA 530 LED driving lights.
Sorry,
Norm
