I have a 2012 Supertenere. On my way to work today the ABS warning light startet flashing every 15 Seconds. On my way back from work the ABS warning light started to illuminate 45 Seconds. The ABS warning light disappeared when when I used the brake handle. Brake fluid is a bit low in the front reservoar. I think the brake fluid has never been changed. Any ideas what to do before I let the dealer fix it?

My 'new' 2012 bought last year, had dark brown fluid in it. Changed it immediately.
Seeing as you should change it every couple of years, I'd start there. Old fluid can damage an ABS sys.

Thank you for Your answer.
Since I still have warranty I have called the dealer and the will check my ABS next week.
Can you pull the diagnostic codes for the ABS system? That might give you an idea where to look.

I had a very similar problem. The root cause was a bad connection at the battery terminals, specifically the ground post. If you haven't already done so disconnect the battery leads, clean up the contact surfaces and give it another try.

I disconnected the battery, and connected it again. I then drove to work and back, and no ABS warning light was flashing. Everything seems to be OK now.
I will change the brake fluid in a few weeks since it is 4 years old. Thanks for Your help.
