ABS light issues

I don't want to jinx it but I found my front master cylinder brake switch wasnt working. I took it all apart and got it into a "better" condition and my symptoms were improved.

I'll get a new one and see what happens.... check your brake switches.

Test last night 57 degrees, left the house and ABS light came on after about 1/2 mile. Light blinked on/off like previous tests, RPM related. After about 5 miles light went out, flickered on a couple times over next 5 miles. Stopped for about 15 minutes to shop. Ride back home light was off the whole time.

I'm in the "loose wire/connection" camp on this one, can't wait to see what the actual culprit ends up being.

Rode to work today, 52 miles, temp 57 degrees. ABS light was off when I left the house, blinked on twice in first two miles, then off the rest of the way to work. I think the blinks indicate the issue is still there, but mostly gone away. I too am in the loose wire/connection camp.

Rode home from work, 52 miles, 61 degrees. ABS light was off when I left, blinked once or twice over the first couple miles, then off all the way home. Stopped for gas, light off last couple of miles.

tldr: im pretty sure I fixed it and the root cause was the battery + connection was loose.
My crash bars make me reluctant to check behind the panel but now I feel dumb but I’m glad it’s fixed.

i did also take apart every connector in the boot under the seat as well as the large main hydraulic unit connector. If you have small hands it will be hard to unplug it and mine was pretty jammed up and took a while to loosen it and clean it. All the connectors seem gasketed and were clean but the under seat area was really dirty and cleaned up.

That would explain the RPM/vibration sensitivity. Glad you got it sorted.
