When you look at the parts diagram, there are some pieces shown (I think #12 and #13 ?) that are needed for the AL canister, but not the TI, so don't think you're missing parts if bought the TI.

If you have some medium strength loctite (blue fluid), a few drops on the factory bolt/nut that goes through the subframe and which the exhaust hangs from won't hurt. The other nuts included in the kit for the carbon fiber canister straps are locking nuts.

Make sure you push down / wiggle the connector pipe all the way on the factory collector, you'll be able to see if it's bottomed out. After that, tighten the exhaust canister straps and that large bolt/nut on the subframe first, then the clamp on the connector pipe last.

That connector pipe clamp will need retightening a time or two once the bike heats up and cools down, just be aware of that.

As gorgeous as all that Arrow kit is, on the Tenere you don't get much of a view of it. Especially in pack-mule status.

Thankfully you still get that wicked music out of it though.

I would take the db reducing baffle pipe out of the tip before you mount it - you can stick it in the NFI box.
It lightens the exhaust a tad so it is easier to mount. You don't want to drop it.
Let the twins sing!

I got the factory exhaust off. So far so good. I didn't find a gasket in either the header or exhaust though.

Should I be using a paste or silicon lubricant when putting it together? There are some slots on the exhaust side where it slides into the collector. Is there any reason for that?

Gasket is around the inner diameter of the stock pipe, it looks like a textured surface, leave it there, it's not used with the Arrow.

The Arrow connector pipe goes over the stock pipe, not in to it. The slots are so the clamp can squeeze it down for best fit.

Hey guys I got the exhaust on pretty easily but after I tightened up everything there appears to be a slight exhaust leak where the slip on attaches to the front pipes. I even saw a drop of condensation drop out. I am not sure if I need to keep tightening the clamp, it's fairly tight but don't want to over do it. Is it OK if there is a tiny leak or should it be completely no leak at all? How tight can that clamp go?

That clamp will go tighter but if you can get the can off easily I'd smear some exhaust paste on there to help it seal. When I fitted my Yoshi RS4 the clamp was almost closed up.

Is there any chance of damage to either pipe if I go tighter? It feels like It can do more but I'm worried about if the collector or slip on will warp where it meets. Is that possible?

You'd have to really over tighten it to crush the link pipe

A drip of condensation from that joint isn't anything to worry about, you just don't want to feel exhaust gases coming out when the bike is running.

The factory exhaust clamp only needs to be tightened to 14 foot pounds. There's no benefit to overdoing it, you might weaken/damage the clamp. Looking at your first clamp pic, it looks like you've started to overdo it a bit, the side with the captured nut (left side in that pic), the "flange" it sits against is starting to bend inward.

Have I damaged anything badly? What is the best thing I can do to repair this so there is no leak? I've tried repositioning the clamp a little bit and still getting air. I used a match to see if air is coming out to try and be sure by watching the flame. How much air leaking is too much?

You shouldn't have any leaks, exhaust sealing paste will sort it.

Fair enough. I'll be buying some today after work. How do I use it, or whats the correct procedure to use the paste? Do I put it on the collector or on the inside of the arrow pipe?

Hi Ron, as per facebook just smear it on the pipe on the bike then slide the can and link pipe on, the excess paste that squishes out smear it around to seal the joint and tighten the clamp. Good luck, Ade

Ugh. After taking everything apart and putting it all together again with the exhaust paste I broke the clamp. So annoyed right now! I tightened it too much the last few times trying to get it to seal properly. Now what. Do I need another clamp from Arrow or are there other ones I can substitute with?

Local bike shop should have them.
