My bike already has 10 000 kilometers since I bought her new in October!!! Not bad I guess!!! Well it came with the tourance exp tires, which I think will last for about another 3 000 kilometers.
I would like to buy the heidenau tires but we dont have them here in Colombia. My choices are: Tourance (not exp), Avon Distanzia and Anakees.
I like the distanzias a lot. I like the thread pattern but when i had them in my 1200 gs I could not get more than 9000 from them. The regular tourances are the cheapest ones and seem to have a lot of rubber. The anakees have not tried them ever.

I like the oem tires (tourance exp) but I am looking for something more dirt oriented without being knobbies. I am very surprised with the duration of the oem tires, and I think it is because of the traction control.

What are your opinions??? What tires would you choose??
Thanks , Nicolas

I've used Anakee 2 for years. Good long lasting tire. I do have the K60s on my bike and Anakee 2 on my wife's Tenere. There are some places where I feel her Anakees hooking up better than my K60s. It's a good tire. I have no reservations about recommending them.

Welcome to the forum.

I only got 3800 miles out of my OE Tourance EXP's.

The standard Tourances don't really feel much different and do last a bit longer so possibly not a bad choice, but none of the road biassed tyres will work very well at all off-road.

I think it is TKC's or K60's for you my friend ::008::

All your choices are good ones but none of these are decidedly better off pavement than what you're running. If you want mileage, I'd get the Tourances - I don't think anything does any better than the non-EXPs. If you want more dirt-capability, then you need to do something like the TKC's or K60's but there is no way you're going to get the mileage you are now. A super-high-mileage off-road tire really doesn't exist.

I'd get the Tourances, carry a compressor, and air-down in the dirt.
