Here I am, Davide Biga, I'm 35 and after many adventures and many km (etc. etc.). I decided to face: A SOLITARY TOUR AROUND THE WORLD......!

Since I was 16 years old I can not live without a motorcycle, and after two Cagiva Mito, a Yamaha XT600, a Honda Dominator, an Africa Twin, a short period (just to vent two horses) on the legendary Ducati 996, now I find myself as a happy owner of an exuberant KTM 950ADV and an indefatigable BMW R1150GS with 110,000 km.

The departure will be for May 2011 and will last about 10/12 months. I know what you're thinking: but where does this guy find all this time???. You are right, I'm lucky. But I can also say that my luck is due only by my passion for the beloved two-wheelers.

I have driven a number of motorbike trips and among the most interesting there are:
- 2003 and 2005 tour in Morocco
- 2006 and 2010 tour in Tunisia and Malta
- 2007 tour in Iceland
- 2008 tour beyond the Balkans, Turkey and Iran
- 2010 Ride for Life in Morocco where I have been chosen by Yamaha to field test its newest creature, the 1200 Tenerè in a humanitarian expedition. Unforgettable experience for the purpose of the initiative and for the opportunity I was offered.

If you want, I have collected some pictures and comments about my travels in this slideshow, or you can find other materials on my Facebook page.

The organization and management of an event of this importance, it is not a trivial matter and it is only thanks to the help and support of great friends like David Peruzzi who, with commitment and passion, allow me to realize this dream.
With him we decided on when, how and what to do. Today, after a year of preparation, assisted by Roberto Tesio, Guido Perrone and Daniela Mondino, we founded our amateur sports association, the MWT , that will follow all the administrative aspects, the planning and the sponsorship of the trip.

See you soon,
Davide

Italian adventurer Davide Biga is about to make it back home after one year spent circumnavigating the world alone with his Yamaha Super Ténéré 1200. The 90,000 km ride required seven sets of tyres and eight oil changes, but from a mechanical point of view it passed off without a hitch, and today the Italian biker will be welcomed back home by family and friends in Mondovì, northern Italy.
