No problem with high officials making such statements; we do also have the Ardennes where one can still experience nice curvy roads, off-road trails and beautiful mountains these days; ideal for my new bike the S10 2016.
Why the Super tenere? I wanted an ADV bike, but which one would I choose? The R1200GS, Multistrada, Vstrom, Versys, Tiger Explorer, 1290 Super adventure all went by my review and the last 2 on the list were the KTM1290 and Super Tenere..
Although I liked the KTM and its power plus the fact I could get a KTM with squeezed down 100BHP on paper for about the same price as the Super Tenere (ktm without panniers), I decided power is not my 1st priority; I'd rather leave on holiday without having to worry about the beast getting me there and back home without problems.
The Super Tenere got my personal winning ticket because of its reliability.
I have about 35 years of motorbiking experience going from Honda CB200 (not counting the cb50, px, amigos and caminos at the age of 16..) to yam RD350, Honda CB750C, Yam Fazer, Suzuki bandit, CB550 and now the Super 10.
I put on the Altrider crashbars and will mount the Altrider Skid plate to better protect the bike.
The OEM panniers that came with the bike I intend to sell and change them for Touratech 31/38 black zega pro2 panniers and a TT zega pro topcase.
So if anyone close to the beautiful city here is looking to buy and pick-up the brand new unused black OEM panniers with mounting gear, feel free to PM me.. Don't yet have an idea of the price.
In the pictures attached the S10 on the trailer when I bought it with the OEM panniers on, and the trio in my garage.. the Bandit is sold meanwhile and my son's husaberg 650FE took its place between the S10 and the CB550.
I have already read myself multiple headaches on the forum, all interesting stuff and hope I will learn a lot more in the future.. a great forum here !
