The temp got me to thinking about how good the riding gear we have now a days really is. What i have is wore slap out and still works great. Tourmaster transition 3, Olympia gloves. First gear boots.

Agreed, just think back a few years and we are so lucky to have such good kit available. Think back to how bad some of the bikes were too...

I fondly remember the days when you got just as wet from wearing waterproofs as not wearing them. Seam sealed PVC, sweat city and then you cooled down and froze !

Down to 10 in Central Alabama wife ask me if I was riding this morning since I commute most everyday. I think I have reach my limit this morning on my gear so to the cage to work. I always says it's not about the weather but about the gear. Well my gear ( or really me ) could not handle the temps this morning.

It was right around 0 this morning. I have a lot of farkles to install but it's been too cold to sit in the garage and do them comfortably plus, there's no rush. No way I am out riding in the cold and salt covered roads.

It only this cold a few times a year here. Good thing about the south but i get tired of the heat in summer. I get alot of your nuts when i ride to work on mornings like this. Only 18 miles, so not far enough for it to really sink in.

I took my bike out for inspection this morning because I forgot to back in December. 18F this morning, but I was fine riding with my heated jacket liner and gloves. The only part that started to get cold were my toes. Maybe it's time to look at heated pants and shoe soles.

Northern NJ at 16F... Working on the S10 in the heated garage. As soon as it goes above freezing we're going out. Need to finish the break in.
