Normally only get about 50mpg Imperial but spent the day yesterday riding with one of my slow Cruiser pals and managed 65mpg. Unbelievable as it seems. 210kms on 8.8 liters. He really does ride slow. Spent the whole day waiting, going slower and slower with more waiting. Luckily its only about once a year. ::010::

That's amazing.

Was that at idle in top gear on flat roads? :D

I was getting that too on my Nelson BC trip with my buddy. We were doing an indicated 100 to 110km/hr on average. He rides in the front because his bike is an older DR650 and he goes fairly slow. I was embarrassed once when a school bus passed us. It seemed to average 60 to 65 mpg imperial, 4.3l/100km.

Got 63mpg following the Mrs on a gentle cross country ride, cruising speed around 60-70mph with a few villages and the odd bend bringing the speed down further.

Mine is definately 3-4 mpg better since the ECU-U flash so iexpect the figure would have been around 60 before - still not bad as we were going faster than all the other traffic we came across, I doubt many cars could have matched that consumption if following along at the same speed, and certainly none that can do 0-60 in 4 seconds and top 125 mph.

Just on our ride back home with my buddy on a 2011 klr. My computer says I was averaging 4.6 liters /100km on that 700km leg from Hyder Alaska to Prince George BC. During tanks we check our liter usage, and the ST is getting better mileage ::022::

Pretty good even when converted to US MPG. Best I've got in us figures us about 47mpg. I can ride gently for the better part of a ride, but can't seem to resist getting ham fisted one or two times.

I wouldn't rely on the computer readout for actual gas millage as it tends to be optimistic. Fill the tank, set ODO to 0,ride till the tank is close to empty, fill the tank, record how many gallons, record millage, divide miles ridden into gallons=MPG. ::001::

::008:: ::008:: Yours is one of the only posts I gave any merit because it stated distance traveled and fuel used. The computer readout is garbage.

I usually average 40 to 45 MPG, the bikes computer average is only slightly optimistic, showing about 1.5 mpg higher than actual. This is better than my other bike which shows about 10% higher than actual.

This trip, using Colorado gas in my California Tenere, I'm seeing up to 51·7 mpg on the dashboard computer. At home, using California gas, I'm usually at 44-46.
