As I told you in a previous post (http://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?topic=18043.0) , I’m, looking for a new big adventure bike.

In the fair EICMA in Milano I saw the new Ducati Multistrada Enduro and I fall in love. I wrote to Ducati Spain to see how I can do to try it.
Apparenty they were looking in my blog and they liked what they saw.

A few days ago we had a meeting in Barcelona. I told them I never had an Italian bike and that I doubt the Multi can resist the harsh treatment that I give to my bikes. They smiled and asked me if I can have enough with four months to try it. Of course I accepted. I still hardly believe it!! ::001::

They seem to be very confident with this bike, they said I can ride in it with no restrtictions… This is going to be fun!! ::008::

Great looking bike.

Does it have the 17" wheel of the standard MTS

I too will be surprised if it takes your abuse

What's not to like? A free bike for 4 months, even if it turns out to be a complete POS, it's still a free, to be abused bike................. you lucky dog ::008::

Yes I found it really sexy :p

Front wheel is 19" and rear 17", same as the Super T.
It seem they work hard to convert the Multistrada in a capable of road bike. The change lot of parts, for example the single swing arm in the Enduro is double. The first gear is shorter.
Suspensions are longer: 200. 30 liters tank, 225 kgs empty, 160HP...
Shame it has the same low groung clearance than the ST: 205.

Let's see if it is strong enough ;)

I know... really, really lucky!!

I'm planning some nice trips for this months: crossing Spain from south to north (off road), riding in the Alps... I'm so exited! ::012::

One question, is it a case of, "you break it, you bought"?

Congrats! Good rider for the job. If those first three pics are you, must have come with gear too. Lucky guy. (saw they are Ducati promotional pics, but you're still a lucky guy. :D )

Found the specs online. 560 lbs wet weight. 34.25" seat height, (33.5 - 35" with optional seat).

If Ducati is confident in their bike it seems pretty smart to loan JaimeV one to beat on. I think there's a lot of us who know and respect what he can do on a bike. If it stands up to him, that's an impressive statement.

Congrats on the gorgeous loaner bike, JaimeV. Please treat it like a rental bike and keep us informed on your experience.

This is how a bike is marketed, while I have zero interested in ever owning one, I am excited to see how it holds up to your abuse, which is well beyond anything the average rider will ever dream of.

Well... I'm getting old and I'm just recovering from an accident but I'm working hard to be well enough to try it as hard as I can. There aren't many opportunities to do this kind of test in a such expensive bike >:D

Jaime V looking forward to hearing reports. I've been an avid reader and youtube video watcher of you a long time. Remember that you got me a Touratech bashplate from a friend when you were designing the other. Good luck videos and write up please

All this time waiting is being a torture ::010::

Today is the international press meeting in Sardinia: http://www.moto.it/news/ducati-multistrada-enduro-1200-conferenza-stampa-live.html

At least they send me a mail to say all is in order, my bike is going to be in Phantom grey and Touring pack.
I'm worried they don't choose the enduro pack for me... I need all the protections they have!! ???

15 days more waitng (or more...)
