I was advised that it would be very difficult to get a paint to match the anodised blue finish and that it would always look like it was “nearly matching but not quite”!

Has anyone painted their 2020 ST 1200 Fuel tank to match the rims? It just seems like a natural progression to me and they just kinda forgot about the tank....

If you have high expectations, you would need to take your bike / tank to a specialty paint shop.... (someone that paints custom helmets or custom cars, Etc). They can do it no problem......

If that is not in your budget, I would suggest poking around or contacting Duplicator, and they have something very close for you to use......

Unless you get the "pro" job, the one issue that ALWAYS happens is the fuel itself dripping or splashing on the aftermarket paint. The fuel will end up messing up virtually everything but the "pro- paint job"....... Ive dealt with this issue with paint and bikes for 25 years....
