Looking to sell my 2018 Super Tenere with 17,350 miles.

Electronic suspension, heated grips. Cruise control.

Serviced 2100 miles ago, new brakes, T-Rex skid plate, SW Motech crash bars, Garmin gps and hardwired mount, Doubletake mirrors, Sargent seats (rider and passenger), also stock seats and mirrors, tires good and includes 75% knobbies as well, higher windscreen (and stock windscreen), touratech clamp on windscreen addition, luggage rack, Givi panniers, HeliBars handlebar risers, brake line extension, needs nothing… excellent condition, never down. I’m in Camas, WA (across river from Portland OR).

Fly and ride anywhere. Looking for $11,500 or best offer (non-motorcycle trades considered).
Only reason I’m selling is due to medical issue. I just am not able to ride long distance anymore.

Feel free to call me directly at 503-964-2466

Hi Ollie,

Got a couple of questions regarding the 2018 Super Tenere.

1. Higher windscreen. Yamaha or aftermarket?
2. Luggage rack: Yamaha or aftermarket?
3. Garmin GPS and hardwired mount: Are you including the Garmin with the ST? If yes, what model is it?

Thank you,

Tony

Hey there!
1 - higher windscreen is aftermarket, no idea what brand, sorry.
2 - I have stock luggage rack and a Dynamic rack who’s is level with rear seat and much heavier duty.
3 - yes, GPS and mount are included. It is a Zumo 395LM

if you wanted to FaceTime to “see”
The bike, hear it run, etc, glad to do it. I’m home this weekend.
Thanks. Cell is 503-964-2466, name is Ollie

Did the Sargent seats increase or decrease the driver's seat height or same as stock? I'm asking because I have a short inseam.

honestly no difference. I keep
It on higher setting but my buddy who’s 5’10” moved it to lower setting and no issues

FYI, the windscreen looks like a California Scientific model. The side cut-outs and slot toward the bottom give it away. Size? Other custom features? No idea.

Good luck! Fly and ride in November to Washington? You're more man than am I!
Shouldn’t be all that bad - he’s in southern Washington luckily but of course there’s a 70% chance of rain and wildfires in northern Cali so it should be an adventure getting back to San Diego by Thursday afternoon!

I fly out at 6 in the morning and Ollie (1badasshog) has been amazing, putting up with all my questions and making arrangements. He is even picking me up at the airport!

The weather doesn’t look like it’s going to be great, but it doesn’t matter as I’m super excited for this, it’s been almost 7 years since I’ve had a “new to me“ bike, and I’ve never even sat on one but I’m so excited to get to know the Tenere!

Congrats on the new to you bike and safe travels.
If I might make a suggestion, at least while you're getting used to the seat and seating position, try taking a lot of breaks on the ride back down. Stop for 5-10 mins every hour or hour and a half, even if your butt feels great.
I've done 13-14 hour days covering 800+ miles on uncomfortably firm seats with great success doing that. Something about a lot of short breaks vs. cannonballing huge chunks with longer breaks... It just seems to work better.
Anyway, the seating position of the Tenere could take a while to get used to and as an owner of a a Sargent seat, I can tell you that they are quite firm... not Corbin "why can't I feel my legs anymore" firm, but still pretty firm. Just some food for thought.
Enjoy the ride!

Mike is in route back to CA through pouring rain and low 40’s temps!!! It was great getting to meet him and the transaction was super smooth. Enjoy the bike Mike and I hope you don’t get hypothermia riding her home to CA!!

Thank you Bill, I appreciate the tips, and luckily I brought my Airhawk knock off and did part of the ride today with and without to break in my backside! Yes the Sargents are notoriously hard and this is my first actually so I’ll absolutely give it a good shot and a good home. If in the end, my soft parts don’t agree, Ollie (1badasshog) sent me back with all the stock items like the seats and windshield, the bike is exactly as described and then some! He even had more items (ECU flash, backrest, some adapters, Battery Tender and I forget what else too) so I feel like I really got a great deal on my first ever ST!

So a HUGE thank you to you Ollie, super smooth transaction and sadly, you’ll likely not be a part of this awesome resource and community, heaven knows the world needs more upstanding, honest courteous and friendly people like you out there, as does this forum, but nonetheless, I wish you the best and it was great to meet you as well and I gotta say, I sure love your bus, Tacoma, workshop and well…your whole property and yes of course your awesome dog Ryder (Rider? Hey!) and I’m a rider too, and I hope you can still ride the lil Yammie or another Hog in some capacity - as we all know, it does the soul good!

Bill, I will try your 5-10 minute break every hour or so method tomorrow. Although I feel like I made really good time for the conditions and traffic, sadly I only made it to Medford tonight, so 400 out of the 1100 miles I was hoping to be by tomorrow evening, but didn’t want to brave the snow and sub freezing temps the Siskiyou Summit was experiencing and I was already spent as it was.

Tomorrow should be glorious, not much rain, although cold and plenty of time for me to get comfortable with my new ST!

Just to close this out - the rest of the way home was cold and somewhat slow due to the weather and/or traffic but on this bike it was still enjoyable, and wow, what a bike it is!!

For someone who had never even sat on one, let alone saw one in a parking lot or dealer showroom…with this website and its members I was confident to fly and ride it home without even a test ride.

Thanks again to Ollie for everything!

It rained through almost all of Oregon and the snow and frozen slush over Siskiyou Pass didn’t disappoint - it was white knuckles especially in the shade around the corners next to a semi!

But worse was the 35 degree air temp through dense, cold fog in Northern California for hours!

After that it was a smooth and beautiful ride with fuel/food and other needed stops to stretch the stiff knees and tired forearms. Love the cruise control, way better than a throttle lock any day.

All told, day 2 was a little over 760 miles from Southern Oregon to home here in Southern California where I can ride the amazing Super Tenere every day of the year!
