Anyone have a reason a 2019 ES would be worth waiting for? Seems a 2018 ES 0r 2017 ES (if able to fine) would be the same bike. Except for color. I have a 2012 with 47K that has been very good to me. Comments?

Thanks.

I would wait for the 2019s to come out. If there is something new you will have the option of buying it if you want it. Also, when the 2019s come out the price on the 2018s should start to drop.

I think Yamaha are too focused on the T7 to be working on a S10 replacement for next year.

Plenty of left over 2016/2017 models to choose from and save a fortune.

I saved a massive $5,000 Aussie on a brand new 2016 Anniversary ES just 4 weeks ago.

If you want to see what the '19 has to offer, you're going to have to wait 'till December; maybe November. Or....scoop up one of the gorgeous, Cobalt Blue '17s; if you like shiny pearl paint. Or, pick up an '18 with the subdued paint scheme. I'd go ES regardless; but that's just me. I think you'll be happy as a pig in s**t no matter which one you end up with. ::001::

Agree with the idea of liking the current Gen1/2 bikes or needing to wait till next year..

The Gen2 is long in the tooth and overdue for an update. Yamaha generally updates about three models a year and we are pretty sure the T700 will be introduced as a production model. They "packaged" the two last year and doing it again makes a lot of brand sense for them.

They generally do the intros at EICMA show in North America and one of the shows in Europe, both of which are late Fall or Winter. Deliveries take a few months afterward.
