I've got a Blue Ténéré with less than 7K miles on it that I'd like to part with. Shipped to my house around Christmas last year and had issues with the dealer/seller over the title. Couldn't ride it, wasn't registered. To make it more attractive to me, I started throwing money at it in the form of a Madstad windshield, Bumot hard luggage, an Amazon back box, and a Shad tank bag. The Madstad's adjustment seems to offer me more protection than stock, the wind hitting me above my helmet at the new 80 MPH limit on the T-Pike. The Bumot luggage is available in 3 widths for the same price. I went with the middle. I also put on some Heidenau K76 tires less than 500 miles ago. Despite being bias ply, I've had no issues with them and they are mounted tubeless. The local dealer changed my oil; engine and final, and replaced the clutch and brake fluid. The mechanic took the liberty of greasing up the pivot point on the clutch handle. Nice! In the pictures is a Garmin GPS & Mount, mine, doesn't go with the sale.

Why? Had a GS years ago, and prefer the protection of a full fairing. I really like the bike, good torque starting out, cruise is really nice, etc, etc, etc.

Did you get the title squared away?
Good question.

Bought the bike from out of state, unseen. and was informed the mileage advertised was wrong due to a clerical error and it was actually less than advertised. Good! Right?

When I signed the papers, they had the incorrect numbers and it raised all sorts of stink with the out-of-state DVM.

I have an Oklahoma title showing the true miles when taken in to get my Tag/Title. Since the ODO didn't agree with the out-of-state title, it has "* ODOM DISCREP" on the title.

I agree. Someone interested should be aware.

I need to replace those pictures. With the sun out tomorrow, hope, hope, I'll re-shoot and the details of the bike should stand out better.

Confessed to Rebgen that I dropped the bike a week ago when the kick stand, side stand? wasn't properly deployed. In front of an OKC BMW bike dealership, I had plenty of help righting the bike, although I made 'em wait until I got my gloves, helmet and jacket off to do the primary lifting. The left mirror stalk got turned back that was correctable with just my hand. The new Bumot side bags have a hard rubber grommet on each corner of the bags and the outside corner one just got a bit scuffed up. The bike does NOT have safety bars (crash bars), but the bike's thick metal blade with a hard rubber coating on each side of the engine takes the brunt of simple parking-lot tip overs. The left side was scuffed before, and is still. Stay tuned for a price adjustment.

I'm back.

During my 'outage', I received some black epoxy to make the self-made tail/brake lights look a little nicer than the blue/green circuit board color. I thought I was going to look really nice, but until cured, the liquid oozed through the component holes and started going out the bottom. I give up.

Sun is out today, so some similar pictures in better light. The last two are the scrubbings of my tip-over a week ago Saturday (see above) where the corner protection piece on the Bumot luggage and the bike's hard rubber covered steel piece near the front were, uh, abraded.

I did a B A D thing yesterday. On the machine I'm supposed to keep low miles and pristine.... I rode yesterday. Now I gotta bathe it again. At least no mud, basically bugs.
A friend wishing to increase his miles for a mileage contest in a national club invited me along. According to the GPS stats, I did 411 miles yesterday going down to a popular Oklahoma ride, the Talimena Drive. A two lane scenic drive along the spine of the hills between Talihina, OK & Mena, AR. Basically a week too soon as the trees have not fully turned. With all the rain we've been receiving this summer, the autumn colors should be really nice. Groups and groups of Harleys, Japanese and European bikes we met going the other way. FInally gassing up in Mena, I spot a rider's vest, the CMA, Christian Motorcycle Association. Their headquarters are a town just south of Mena, and their national rally is this weekend.
So now, the Tenere has 7255 miles on it. Looking at the original specifications above, I forgot to mention the Sargent seat, just the rider's.

A gentleman in Texas that was interested, and a couple days away from a sale, but I've grown attached to the bike, and hated to not ride it in keeping it clean and the miles down. Previously pondering purchasing other bikes after the sale, one makes produces a sweet bike, but can break down with expensive repairs. Yamaha and/or Ténéré do not have that reputation. The other is another 130 pounds, and me, getting on in years, really can't imagine turning it around on a two wheel track. Anyway, my wife says I'm supposed to be 'slowing down'. Being a member of the forum for a bit, I'm finally learning how to get around and have found good leads and ideas in performing work on the bike.

I'm currently shopping around looking at prices of other listed and sold bikes to get an idea of what's fair... what were you listing this at before you withdrew it, please?
