First of all i'm sorry if this is already a discussion, but I'm wondering if anyone has any info on the 2017 S10's. Changes, colors or anything else. Im in the market for a 2016, but I figure that the 2017s are due out anytime I would ask.....any info ?

No worries, we get this question about this time every year, and then we'll get the annual "They are going to end the model" comments. You just happen to be first this cycle.
;)

Yamaha's refresh cycle is 3-4 years and the Gen2 came out in 2014. (Gen1 was 2010-2013.) That means it's 50-50 that 2017 will be a major change or not. Yamaha is really good at keeping us guessing right up till the company wants to make an announcement. Anything till then is total speculation.

Thanks guys. I've been looking at a 2016 S10 ES , but I haven't pulled the trigger yet because of the nearness of the 2017s. If I can get a great deal this weekend, I just might pull the trigger. Thanks for your help.....!

So Yamaha has some 2017's revealed, but not the Super Tenere.

Seems like they're holding back, just sayin' .... ::002::

Really at an impasse about getting Super T for this reason.

For some reason they do this every year. In previous years it's closely followed by somebody speculating that they are dropping the model.
Every dang year.

Naahh - You're a well-meaning noob and didn't launch into the tirade about sales figures, BMW sales, etc. Below is an example of what I was referring to.

~Well, it looks like it's official now...No 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere for the United States, and apparently not for Canada, either.Take a really close look at this page...http://www.yamahamotorsports.com/content/115/yamaha_sport_street_motorcycle_home.aspxAt first it looks like there is a 2014 Super Tenere, but there's not... If you click on each model you will every single model *EXCEPT* the Super Tenere and the FZ8 shows having a 2014 model, while the Super Tenere and FZ8 are both 2013 models. This does not bode well for there being a 2014 Super Tenere, and could possibly mean dire things for the Super Tenere continuing to be offered in the United States at all in future years. So glad I got mine... So long Super Tenere... We hardly knew ya'. :( ~

Well I do think there will be a '17. I just don't know if it'll be the same or a new model yet... ::003::

I spoke with 2 sales guys in 2 dealerships, and the quote is they reveal models that aren't going to be changed early, so maybe the 17 loses some weight ::014::

New S10??

After approaching my local dealer for a new ZE, he gave me the following info.

He has sold his last one and Yamaha cannot/will not release any more at this time. His thinking is that there may be something new on the horizon? I know the 660 is getting replaced by the 700 triple..that,s on all the search engines.

Has anyone on here heard anything about the big 1200, or do I wait for the Milan show to see whats going on? I have hunted the interweb to no avail.

I will definitely be getting a new bike as I want cruise control for some of the motorway miles on my longer Euro trips, but i don,t want to commit at the moment if there,s a new machine on its way.

I am in the same boat, I want cruise, but don't anticipate that the XT700Z Tenere will have it, if the MT-07 /09 don't, cannot see it on the '7-10' (my name for it, if it ever comes to build). As for your dealer not having any, there are a few, even at Yamaha UK, he just wants to shift his stock before getting HQ's stock, I experienced the same, and now not bothered about staying with the brand if that is the way the stealers behave.

We will most likely know within the next 30 days...in years past (unless there was some big reveal going on), Yamaha has released all model info for the following calendar year by the end of September.
