Before someone tells me to search, let me say I've done that and have decided to go with Norwest Suspension for a rebuild/respring of my stock non-ES shock. My question concerns others who have used Norwest Suspension.
1) were you happy?
2) what spring rate did you use, what was your starting sag numbers (preload fully in or out)?
I contacted Terry (he is very helpful) and he suggested I use a 1000lb spring. I think he is spot on based on my sag numbers. I get basically 3.8" of sag with preload full out and 2.75" of sag with preload fully in. This is with me, my Jesse bags loaded like I normally keep them, crashbars, deck plates, ...
Since I'm shooting for 2.2" of sag, a 1000lb spring should put me at around 2" with preload fully in. Backing out the preload should get me near 2.7-2.8" so 2.2" should be somewhere in the middle.
I've seen the term racing sag meaning all-in I think. The numbers I'm quoting are all in (me and all my gear).
