2015 ES side cover

Fixin to start installing some goodies. No service manual, Yamaha shop had to order one for me yesterday.

How does the right hand side cover come off? Rubber push to snap in place type thangs? ,,, or.....

Use the Allen wrench under your seat to quarter turn the 4 fasteners at the corners of the big panel.
Easy peasy


The upper panel has 4 threaded fasteners and two pop pins next to the fork.

It's just pushed in - no fasteners. But as usual with this type of fitting, be careful not to break anything

Never trust a man from Atlanta. :D

There are 2 plastic rivets with phillips heads on the bottom rear of the cover. A push in tit on the top that you can only see from underneath, and a slip in rubber receptacle towards the front that needs to be removed by pulling the cover towards the rear.

They could have at least used the same type "push to release" rivets that are on the upper cowling.
sheeesh, a Japanese f'n menu.
