I've decided to re-jig the advert as the deal I'd done has fell through .....the advert now reflects the bike as of today.

See new details below

June 2014 Yamaha XTZ1200 ZE Super Tenere (Second generation)
5800 miles only
2 previous owners ( pre-registered, then first proper owner put 1800 miles on it, then I bought it this time last year)
White
Hilltopped so super smooth ( for those that don't know its a re-map and dyno place -Geoff there is a bit of a legend)

ZE - Electronic suspension model
Cruise control
Traction control
3 level heated grips
ABS (switchable)

Genuine Yamaha top case
SW Motech Engine bars
SW Motech sump guard
Fender extender
Datatagged

Last week I had my tame motorcycle mechanic do the following:

Steering head bearings greased and adjusted
Front and rear wheel spindles greased
Shock linkages greased
Shaft splines lubed
Swinging arm greased.

a couple of weeks ago I did the following:

Oil and Genuine Yamaha filter
Final drive oil changed.

No dents or issues with the bike.

Also available by negotiation : 3 month old pair of 8" Ard Case panniers , 2mm powder coated black. Hepco and Becker QR frames to match ( mounts are still on the bike and may be seen on the pics.)

£8650 as it stands ... could part exchange with cash my way depends what takes fancy bike wise ...... I've looked on MCN bikes and you'll not find better value- it's a lot of bike for the money 8)

Edit: £7850 including the luggage ... will part exchange with a car of similar value if it's the right one

Bryn 07875 304772 ;) South Leicestershire

And the ARD Cases by separate negotiation......

Re: 2014 XTZ1200 ZE for sale UK

Sorry to see your leaving the fold Bryn. From what you say I am presuming you are looking for a different bike rather than giving up riding ?
Could I tempt you to sell the screen spoiler separately ? I believe it's the Russian one ?

Re: 2014 XTZ1200 ZE for sale UK

If you were selling that 2 months ago I'd be snapping your arm off!

If for some mad reason it doesn't got & you considering splitting accessories -let me know on winglets, screen braces, subframe panel, pillion handles & headlight guard :)

Curious on panniers also, I bought an OEM set from another forum member ... topbox is ok for day to day, but not in love with the panniers.

Hi Trev , yes, looking at possibly downsizing/down costing ( if that's an expression)

If I start to split the bits I'll let you know reference the Russian spoiler .. will need to run the advert for a bit first ::008::
No problem Bryn. good luck with the sale and your new bike !

Bryn, I must have missed your ad first time around.

Sorry to hear you are leaving the fold. Knowing it's pretty difficult to ace the S10 ZE on our crap roads, what are you planning as replacement?

Hi Ken.. The way I feel at the moment there's a good chance I'll be keeping it ... Had a couple of offers but I'm not convinced that parting with the S10 is the right move.....just been offered a versys 1000 (2012) fully spammed up and £3k my way.. And I'm still procrastinating
Hi Bryn - Coincidence that; I traded mine the other way around.

We found my 2012 V1K comfortable, with a fantastic engine & neat V35 side cases on detatchable frames. Very much the versatile all-rounder. However, the suspension is rather 'budget', which leaves the front end unpredictable at times. And, watch the top box - the OE is a lightweight helmet store in reality. Looks.... well a bit of an ugly duckling, but then the S10 is hardly beautiful. It was whilst considering the cost of an Ohlins suspension upgrade, cruising the Versys1000 Forum, that I noticed Roger (aka Tyke) extolling the virtues of the S10ZE/ES. As you know, Roger has gone back to the good old GTR14/Connie now for comfort, his 3rd/4th I think, but he introduced the idea to me. We had considered a GS/GSA but decided against, as we had suffered serious reliability issues when we tried BMW in the past & I have never really got on with the Hossack front end.

Anyway, once we tried an S10, we were easily convinced. With our appalling infrastructure, we find the S10ES just about perfect around here & I think I would miss the compliance of that suspension. The only moment we had was in the Dolomites last summer, over on the edge of the tyre on some tight hairpins (Manghen Pass), when TCS cut in due to rally cars shooting gravel across the surface. Hardly the bike's fault really, more down to the tyre profile, conditions & maybe the pilot!

All I know is that, either way you won't be disappointed, particularly if the target V1K is fully farkled.

All the Best ..................... KEN

Re: 2014 XTZ1200 ZE For sale or part exchange UK

I've resurrected this thread, the bike is up for sale again .....

Now has 7000 miles on the clock, and nearly new Mitas E07's fitted.

I'll let the bike go complete with the luggage for £7850

Could part exchange for the right car ( similar price) 5 door hatch or estate SUV etc. No starship mileages.

This is truly a good deal ;) Based just south of Leicester ::003::
