I was looking at windscreens and I noticed the MRA windshield requires the removal of the device bar (on the 2014+ models) which is a bummer. Are there any good ones that doesn't require removal of this? The stock shield is not doing it for me.

Hi Joe,

I added the MRA X Creen to my 14 windscreen and it added quite a bit of protection. I got the bolt on one, which requires you to drill 4 small holes, but they also offer a clamp on version.

The Cal Science fits good with the device bar on the 2014. You can raise and lower it easily. Its an ok shield but the airflow vent whistles a little. I bought the CeeBailey's shield but it did not fit the 14 without removing the bar. I returned it with no problems.

That was the other reason I thought about getting the full MRA windscreen but I prefer the device bar over the aesthetics of the tinted screen.

I ordered the tall 24" after reading a couple reviews, it seems this should work best for me at 6' 1". And the tall was recommended by the helpful person I spoke with at Parabellum.
Note that they will cut a screen down at no cost other than shipping so better off to go big if you are between sizes. I'll just cut it myself if need be but I expect it will be okay.
I'm not sure what size is in the pics but I agree it looks like the low one.

Had a 24inch Parabellum on my 2012 S10 with the Madstad and thought it was too tall looking. Did a reasonable job of wind blast but not as good as I was expecting. I put the Madstad on my 2014 with the stock windshield and its OK but not as great. Was thinking maybe a 22 Parabellum or one like their picture on the web. Believe the width and tilt function are more important than the height.

Redcat, I agree, angle and width are very important but I think height is too. And with parabellum all sizes are the same price so why not go big and cut it down as needed?...if needed.

If you are concerned with cutting a screen....If I can do it anyone can. Goes sort of like this...apply masking tape, mark cut. First practice by taking of a little corner using a fine tooth blade in a hand held jig saw. Then practice finishing the edge on the piece you remove. Using a sharp knife, bevel the edge by dragging the blade across on a angle knocking the flash off. Then use a propane torch to heat polish the cut. If you have a old screen around to practice on you'll be pro in no time...I was very surprised how easy it was and the quality of the result. It might not match up perfect with the factory edge but on my last bike nobody ever noticed...at least not with my ugly azz looking thru it ::26::

Thanks Gaps for the info regarding Parabellum. I gave them a call yesterday. They were very nice people to talk to and they advised me that the medium was best for my height. I was told that they would gladly cut the screen if I thought it was too high. Because of you I got the free shipping as well.

Snooze, thanks fer the thanks sir! My screen showed up today, nice quality and just what I wanted for size, in high position I just look over it and low is well below my line of sight. Can't wait to try it out, to bad we have a few inches of fresh snow on the ground today...fingers crossed for a gentle winter ::008::

I had the GIVI airflow fitted to my previous bike (Kawasaki Versys 1000) the screen wasn't particularly attractive but it was extremely effective.

It seems that GIVI currently only offer a non airflow screen for the 2014 S10

The Airflow screen is available for the pre 2014 model S10, but I assume that this will not fit the later model bike

I reckon I'll wait for the 2014 option Airflow screen to become available.

I have asked Givi if they are going to make an Airflow for the 2014. I have an email from them that says it fits the 2014 now.
I think you have to remove the adjusting mechanism on the 2014 for it to fit......

For most of the aftermarket screens that I've found, you lose the accessory bar and/or adjustability. I personally don't want some gigantic thing either. I haven't had the opportunity to try out the lip yet.

I have the stock windscreen on my '14 in the highest position and the turbulence and noise were ridiculously loud. I'm 6'2", 32" inseam and normally ride with a full face street helmet. Couldn't take the noise anymore, so I looked for alternatives....bought the MRA X-creen and installed it. What a difference!!!! I have it in the medium raised position, the amount of air that it deflects and how much quieter everything is, is amazing. I can now lower the volume on my music and even ride with a full on MX helmet at 80mph with no issues!!!
