Why is it they are always ahead of the U.S. market, especially when it comes to accessories for the Tenere?

Simple. The US is not the big fish in the world of motorcycles. Now, the US consumer thinks they are but, well, that's another story entirely.

They are probably preoccupied with the big buyers positioning their focus there maintaining market share as the populations go up market.

See that little slither of blue in the US market, That's a little tiny bug chirping in the distance.

The 250cc and under market is where you'd see some action ATM if ya'll decided you wanted them.

That link is for the 2014 for sale in Canada. I know the US isn't the biggest fish in the world for S10 sales, but I'll bet they sell a lot more here than in Canada. This happened with the initial 2012 PDP bikes also. Don't know why, perhaps they have to wait for shipment of the enormous USA turn signals to arrive.

That's slightly misleading. It's the Yamaha Canada web site, not a dealer web site with an actual bike for sale. Just MSRP and detailing the 2014 bikes.
