Hi Everyone,
My Honduras dealer says my 2014 S10 will be in the showroom next week. (As promised last summer). Other than the spiffy new dash, how do I verify it's actually a true 2014 rather than a retitled 2013 with a few upgrades added? ID plate? Where is it? Many thanks for your help. I'll keep in touch....
Regards,
Scott Williams

That dash alone will PROVE it.
Although there are lots of other changes too.

fyi the 10th character in the VIN # is the year of production. According to VIN charts posted on the web, your new bike should display a -E- which indicates this is a 2014 model year.

Well, big day for me. It was, in fact, a 2014. So now it's mine. Matte gray. Already have black panniers for it, and a smaller black Pelican top case. Also going on is a passenger backrest from Cher-Dan. Nice quality. The Pelican box sits about even with the top of the backrest. Came with Battlewings. Love the new dash. BTW, it is the basic model. Thanks for the info.
Best,
Scott

Congratulations! Yes.. pics please. :)

Especially of the plastic piece above the headlight - under the windshield. Looks like Yamaha designed that better and it actually transitions nicely to the top of the headlight, eliminating that ~3/4" gap. I personally think that is a possible source for dirty air and hope that can be fitted on the Gen I bikes. (Dirty air if you use a Madstad or similar bracket that exposes that area)
