I agree - i think it tidies up the front end and provides some protection to the horn and lower clamp. It helps the bike look "finished" - as if they forgot to put the part not he 2010-2013 models.

If you have lights then you don't need this part - but without lights, it really finishes it off.

I bought on a couple weeks back - took a week to arrive to my local yamaha dealer - £8.29 here in the UK. Fitted with 2, M6x25 bolts and washers which i painted semi-gloss black plus two washers and nylon nuts on the back.

The part - including painted black bolts

Nice option, it does tidy it up nicely and cheap! I want extra lights and might go with the touratech mounts and lights… So putting the grill in is a good option...

Nope. With lights you wouldn't need a filler anyway.

Just installed the under headlight cover. I ordered and received the cover and two inserts. Could not see a use for the rubber thingies and did not like the price of the hardware. The parts manager found some new flange bolts and nuts. Could not see the reason for the washers. Look better and I am sure I will get better gas mileage, maybe 2 MPG.

Does anyone have the under headlight grille fitted with the OEM engine guards? The guard has a stay that runs from the top of the bars to a bolt underneath the headlight and it looks as if the grille wouldn't fit with the stay there. Either that or it would need a hole cut in it for the stay. If anyone has the grille fitted with the OEM guards or even has a 2014 or 2015 S10 with the OEM guards fitted can they let me know as I'm thinking of buying the grille for mine.

For about £8, just buy one and see for yourself, or rig it to fit?

My '14 ES came with that grill. What I found is the the plastic piece has a guide on the cutout that needs to be made on the inside. I simply followed that and it works fine the OEM engine guard. If you need a close up picture let me know.

Thanks, I'll order one and if I need any more info I'll ask. How easy is it to cut out? What did you use?

Finally received the cover that fits underneath the headlight and it does indeed have an outline on the back to show where to cut it to allow the stay for the crash bars to go through it. It actually shows quite a large oval aperture and gives you the two centres for the circles that form the oval. I just put a 20mm (3/4") hole saw through it and that gives plenty of clearance to get the stay through.
