Does anyone know if the so called grill (plastic insert in space under headlight) on the 2014 fits earlier model years? And does anyone have a part number for that piece?

Yes, it's a straight bolt on. It attaches to the 2 loops under and to the back of the headlight. I removed mine to mount the LED bar, and the bike doesn't look as finished without it.

Those two holes were the perfect place to mount my Rigid LED bar.

That's why I removed the panel on my '14 to mount my Rigid LED lightbar. There's where I had it mounted on my '12.

Looks to me the part # for the grille/cover is:

2BS-28365-00-00 COVER

and if you also want the related bits/fasteners:

90201-061A5-00 WASHER, PLATE (X2)
95817-06025-00 BOLT, FLANGE (X2)
90387-06200-00 COLLAR (X2)
90480-04166-00 GROMMET (X2)
90176-06016-00 NUT, CAP (X2)

Number 53-58 on the 2014 windshield fiche located here.

I know for a fact that a pair of Piaa 530 led lights fit perfectly in that same space and are much brighter than a piece of plastic. ;)

Sounds like this is a part that could be had "used" as members will
be removing theirs for proper light installation. ::008::

Any decent close up pictures of your installed setup? Looking at options right now and am leaning towards the Rigid light bar but having 2 seperate round lights seems interesting and may provide some finer light pattern tuning. TIA

Thanks Mingo and Jimbob. I just haven't seen the need for additional lighting. I'll contact my local dealer for pricing today (I can't imagine what that thing will be worth) but if anyone is interested in selling theirs let me know.

Just a quick follow up. ExtremeLee sold me the grill off his 2014 for a measly $20 and it really really finishes the front off nicely. Best $20 accessory I've ever bought.
Thanks again Lee

Just got the OEM grill that fills the void under the headlight. This is standard on the 2014 ST but fitted like a glove on my 2013 ST. Got it from the dealer in Malta (it's readily available in Europe) and costs only €8 (around $10). The OEM fixing set costs three times as much as the cover, and it's not required. To fix, all you need are two stainless steel bolts / nuts which you can get from any hardware store. The cover comes in black, so it blends well with the underside of the bike. It makes all the difference :)

Anyone have one of these they don't need?

Mingo?

I'm in the US and apparently they're not available here according to my dealer.

Can anyone recommend the name of a friendly Canadian dealership so we can order directly from them?

My 2012 looks just fine without it. I've been riding since 1966 and never saw the need to fit a grill under the headlight.

Good for you. I fitted one to my 2013 model and I like the protection afforded to the top of the forks and horn. Personally, I think its a definite improvement on the look for very little money.
