Riding up I-75 in Tennessee today, about 607 miles on the odometer, I see big bug bounce off my right thigh. Look up to see wobbly piece of plastic on right side of adjustable windshield bracket. As I'm reaching for it, off it blows. Not safe place to pull over to try to retrieve. Turns out first thing wasn't a bug. Rather, it was the big plastic wing nut looking thing. New replacement parts on order.

Fuel economy coming in over 60 mpg. I'm not riding fast, since I was in break in period. But I was shocked by this. Don't know if on board computer is accurate, since I haven't done hand calculations to confirm. Loving bike and way it rides. Happy night to all.

Today I saw around 75 mpg when I was doing around 50 in 6th with cruise control on. Then I started going downhill and the mpg went to 99.9.

When I picked up my 2014 I stopped half way home and raised the shield. I don't think I put everything back correctly when I did because on my next trip the wing nut thing was loose and the right side of my shield had dropped down. I was almost home so I tightened it and when I got home did a better job on the adjustment making sure everything was lined up okay and in it's notches. Since then did around 400 miles and it hasn't budged.... With the looseness of that bracket, I think it has to be adjusted and set correctly or the movement will work the wing nuts loose.

Only saw over 60MPG once. That was last year heading to Colorado, through Central Texas. Had about a 15 mph steady wind at my back and was keeping my speed about 55-60.
