I was bored so trawled the yam uk online parts database to see what parts were needed If trying to swap the '14 adjustable screen on to an earlier S10
Theres quite a few small parts bolts fiddly bits needed as can be seen from the list and It's not clear if the old central screen stay will take these or if the new stay (new part number) is needed as the parts fiche diagrams don't show enough detail to check for differences . The part no for the main stay is at the end. Note the last number on a line is the number of parts required and any number before that is part of the part name.

XT1200Z 2BS-2831U-00 STAY, SIDE 1 1
XT1200Z 90179-05003 NUT 4

XT1200Z 90179-05523 NUT 4
XT1200Z 90520-02005 DAMPER, PLATE 2
XT1200Z 90338-10132 PLUG 2

New '14 screen stay is XT1200Z 23P-28356-01 STAY 1 1
The old stay isn't cheap and I can't imagine the new screen is either so theres a few spondoolas worth of bits to swap from the look of it. Note I didn't include the modesty cover above the headlamp but it looks like it might be different too and no whinging if I missed a bit or added too much in ::). if your planning to do this I suggest you check out the online parts fiche and make your own mind up on whats needed. PS I wasn't able to check the prices for the new bits as the local online parts supplier hasn't added them yet

Hey macca could you look to see if there is a different wind deflector for the 14 I than the earlier one? I can't get the 14 fische to come up here in the states.

Ok that's what I needed to know. Then I sell the 2012 with the wind deflectors and get the new kit for my 2014 when ever I get my 2014.
Thanks!

The new main stay part number is only a suffix change which usually means a very minor change, and sometimes you cannot even see a change when comparing the two versions so if a person was to make the change I think you can probably use the 2013 stay. Also, keep in mind that the new number supersedes the old one so they should be interchangeable.

Anyone trying this yet? I am wanting to hear if the '14 mount holds a GPS better that the Madstadt on a '12.
