2013 Super Tenere with less than 6500 miles and lots of add-ons. Bike has been sitting in my garage for the last three years, ridden only periodically to get the fluids moving and charge the battery. Bike still has original factory tires mounted but a set of new Mitas E-07 Dakar tires are included with sale.

Bike is set up for solo long-distance adventure touring and camping. Pillion seat has been replaced with an AltRider luggage rack (see photos) but original pillion seat included with sale.

Extras:

ECU Unleashed ECU remap (huge improvement in throttle response)
Givi Trekker Monokey top case (46L or 52L - I have both and will include case of your choice with sale)
SW-Motech Bags Connection City EVO quick-lock tank bag
Happy Trails Teton panniers, 9" clif-cut, black poweder coated (assortment of internal liners included)
ACD Racing skid plate (mounted on studs to make much easier to remove/replace)
AltRider crash bars
AltRider rear luggage rack with Monokey mounting hardware for Givi Trekker
AltRider pillion luggage rack
Elka stage 5 triple clicker rear shock with remote reservoir and preload adjustment (900 lb/in spring)
Rebuilt front shocks with Stoltec Moto fork piston kit (0.90 kg/mm linear rate springs)
MRA Vario touring windscreen mounted on MadStad adjustable mounting system
Rox Risers (added RideOnAdv long brake and clutch lines to accommodate)
Seat Concepts seat (had factory seat re-covered so original not available)
Easter Beaver PC-8 fuse panel
Yamaha factory heated grips
Cyclops H7 LED headlights
Excel throttle lock (very cool machined piece of workmanship)
Upgraded clutch basket to 2014+ model to solve vibration issue
New YTZ14S battery in late 2019
Added connectors for battery tender and for heated gear

Bike purchased new at Fun Bike Center in San Diego in December of 2013. Bike has been garage stored and very well cared for. Both Yamaha factory recalls were completed at Fun Bike Center.

All original parts that I still have, including the factory rear luggage rack and any hardware that was replaced when mounting aftermarket stuff, will be included.

Starting price is $6500 but of course everything is negotiable. The bike has a ton of extras, and I get that you may not want to pay for all of those extras. But I'm not interested in stripping the bike. I'm selling as-is, with the possible exception of the tankbag, top box, panniers, and new Mitas tires. The bike is also posted for sale locally on craigslist.

Clean title in hand.
VIN: JYADP03Y1DA000471

Sorry for the crappy photos. Didn't have time for glamour shots!

AWESOME price. Sort of depressing that my 2013 is worth so little, but i really like the bike, probably will never sell it, so it doesn't matter.

Screaming deal. Someone will jump. The Elka shock looks great - better than my Penske. It's beautiful.

Thanks for the nice comments. I posted today on craigslist in San Diego and was really surprised by the instant number of responses I got, especially considering the times. Seems to be some pent up demand for used Teneres. Got two solid offers, one from a lawyer in Phoenix who was willing to buy sight unseen. Hoping to close a local offer tomorrow after a visit today. I’ve sold other bikes. Tenere buyers are a different breed. Older and much nicer to deal with. Once the bike is gone I’m going to post a bunch of other stuff for sale so stay tuned.

Nice bike & farkles. So if 6500 miles on the odometer yields a $6500 asking price, I figure I need to just keep putting miles on my 2013 to increase my bike’s value, eh?

Kidding, of course. GLWS!

6500 is way too low.
In the end it probably was too low. I got a ton of contacts and half a dozen offers off the craigslist ad in the first 24 hours. But I've seen Teneres languish for many many months in this for sale forum. You never know what the market is until you test it. Bike sold today and I'm just glad it's gone and in the hands of someone who will enjoy the hell out of it. Selling in less than 24 hours is worth a lot to me, so both me and the buyer are very happy. That's the definition of a great deal!
