Greg this a a great buy. When you add up the dealer fees and taxes, their "out the door price" is considerably higher than what you're saying. Then you still have all of the accessories and tires to buy.these engines are fantastic so a buyer should not be concerned about the mileage, but smiling because of all the money he saved from not going to the stealership.

you're preaching to the choir :)
I lost track what I have into mine, and I bought it in the states for a steal (2012 early delivery)
The prices I listed are OTD, which is scary. Granted, they are not off the street deal, but some were offered at the mc show etc..
I bought my 2015 FZ07 at $7400 delivered to my house. Considering that it's $7300 msrp, that's very good pricing indeed.

Your bike looks very good indeed, and nicely sorted. Mileage is non existent for a tenere (14km). Mine has 51k and looks new, and feels new.
That's the crappy thing, most guys that want to get into the st's and know their history, go for the second gen, due to the few issues that needed sorting out (clutch basket, cam chain tensioner). The guys that have gone from the gen 1 to gen 2 have lost their shirts on resale/trade in.

You do have a Super Tenere, like the rest of us.
But you sure don't seem to know us very well.

That's your neighbor that you're snapping at.
And well regarded around here too.

Just saying. :)

Wow. Stop wasting our time with your bad attitude and disrespect for someone who meant no harm. I'll be impressed if it sells here after that. Good luck on craigslist.

ok gents let's review.

i have a bike for sale. period. any comments on it being a "bad time to sell" are open to negative comments by me. if your a big super T fan, it's is always a good time to sell the bike to another purist and not downplay the seller. ever.if you took the time to read the original ad , it says "DO NOT WASTE MY TIME". that implies to a forum or kijiji.

if greg "the tool" finds so many mechanical flaws with the super T, i would say it's a great time to sell it and move on. fyi the is bike is sold and being picked up this weekend with full asking price for all you naysayers.

a piece of advice-stay out of forums and get out there and ride. i have ridden over 25 countries since 2008. want proof? lulu.com/punchclock

I don't care how many countries you've travelled in. A piece of advice, get off this forum, get out and ride, and please don't come back until you can treat others with respect.

All right gents, let's all back off from the keyboards for a bit.

Brentla, greg was being helpful with the sale of your bike. As you can see by his post count, he has been a major contributor to the forum. Originally forgetting to post your price in the initial post is what prompted his response. We are friendly and helpful here, it's part of the "small-town" atmosphere that has developed over time.

Seeing as he's sold the bike this forum follows, I highly doubt he's coming back. I don't see a reason why. :/

While Greg meant no harm, I'm not sure if posting the prices of what S10s are selling for new would be universally construed as "helpful. ;)

+1 These things aren't easy to sell used, to me it looked like he crapped all over the guys ad.
