Been having trouble trying to sell my S10 since it has such high mileage. Figured I'd let you all know in case anyone is interested or can help. I've been dropping the price and calling around to dealers, and the only offers I've been getting are $500 from salvage companies, and $100 from RumbleOn. If it doesn't sell by this weekend, it's going to salvage! I bought it in 2019 with 70,000 mi. It would be sad to see this thing go to salvage. link to CycleTrader ad: https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/5029246430

Here's the listing.

Starts, and runs well. Engine rebuilt at 90,000 mi. Starts better than before, and doesn't burn oil.

I have been doing all the maintenance, and the bike is in good shape.

Upgraded suspension handles rough terrain well, and crash protection is very robust. Side opening Pelican cases are convenient to use on extended trips, and hold up well in crashes. I just got done with a 7,000 mi adventure trip on this bike this summer which included the COBDR and NMBDR. Selling because I am moving out of the country.

Needs new rear tire, and rear wheel bearings are starting to go. Missing hand guards and rear carrier plate.

Includes over $3000 worth of add-ons:
-TFX Remote Reservoir Shock with Hydraulic Preload Adjuster $1388
-Fork Valve and Spring upgrade $456
-Caribou Cases $500
-Hepco Becker Luggage Rack $361
-TRex Racing Crash Bars and Skid Plate $500
-National Cycle V-Stream Touring Windshield $180
-Tusk Chub Handlebars $50
-Techspec Tank Grips $75
-Oxford Heated Grips $82
-HID Headlights $90
-Barnett Clutch Pressure Plate $197
-Yellow Aux Lights $20

why not keep it , it cant lose any more value than the salvage price ... then ride it occasionally . sorry I missed the part about you moving out of the country .... maybe give it to a non ADV riding friend . good luck .

Leaving the country doesn't mean you won't ever return. If you are American leave it with a relative, it's not like it's a piece of fish. How long will it take you? It'll need tires then but so does it now.
At the risk of rambling would you know where a poor mothers son might obtain a set of S10 wheels?
Frivolity aside I like your motorcycle because it is the fastest color, like mine, and wish you good luck with the sale and all your future endeavors.
All the best.

How long has it been for sale ? I am surprised that it hasn’t sold.
First put it up on FB marketplace 2 weeks ago for $7,000, and have been dropping the price since. Then I paid to put it on CL and Cycletrader to get more attention. I think the major problem is the time of year. Even resellers/dealers don't want it.

Thought about that storing it, but I don't know how long I will be gone. Could be 2+ years. I am young (28), and I don't know what I will be doing in the future. I had my time with it, and I am ready to move on. I will get a different bike when I am ready. I don't have a place to store it, it's not worth paying to store it. I don't want to burden others. I might be open to loaning it to someone who will use it.

I don't know how low you've gone pricewise, but just keep lowering it and it'll eventually sell. You're right though, this isn't the best time of year to sell a bike. Is there anyway you could hold on to it until spring?

there is no selling fee on Craigslist at least not that I’m aware of, sold a $2800 item on Craigslist a month or so ago and never had to pay any sellers fee.
Your bike sounds like it could be a very nice deal for someone, hopefully someone will buy it soon.

$3,000 is the lowest I've listed it for so far. Just got 2 offers for $1,500. Can't wait, I am moving to Australia next week.

There is a $5 fee for all plated vehicles. Yes, someone is going to get a sweet deal, especially with all the extras it comes with.
