I spent 45 years living and riding in the PacNorWet. Trust me, keep the bike. You'll be doing as much or more riding in WA as in TX. A lot more twisty roads. A lot more day rides to the coast with potential for varying routes. Never mind the Mountains in the summer. You will not likely choose to ride in some weather, but you will learn to ride in conditions you never expected to enjoy or encounter in TX. (and I like riding in TX too) Better Q in TX, but some surprisingly good eats in WA. Never mind OR and British Columbia. Get your passport up to date now, it's a day ride to Canada from Seattle.
If you think you'll simply be working massive hours, consider you will need the sanity break even more. Good rain gear, heated jacket liner, Hippo Hands and year round riding except for the relatively rare snow days. It will be different, but it won't limit your riding any more than living in TX has.
