Guys,
I bought a 2013 Model S10 (fab is 0ct 2012). I found the ECU mapping very acceptable, very far from the complaints I read in this forum or read in magazines. My bike is a US California model. So I did some research: the 2012 ECU is part Nr 23P-8591A-30-00 (seemed to be the same in the prior years too) , the 2013 Model ECU is 23P-8591A-70-00. There are no specific ECU for California models, and the 70 part can replace the 30. So it brings me to ask the following question to the few who had both 2012 and 2013 Super Ténéré. Did you notice any different behavior from the '13 ECU vs '12? If you have the 2013 model, did you get the ECU reflashed, and did it improved it noticeably (like it seems to do for the earlier versions)? Thanks

The ECU difference is not a 2013 change.
My 2012 S10 (DOM 2/12) bike has the -70 ECU. As far as I can tell, only the very early US bikes had the -30 ECU.
