New to the forum, have had the bike for 1.5-2 years by now. Yesterday as I was going up a hill I opened her up a bit and noticed there was no power. Almost like once it hits a certain rpm it just revs as if it were in neutral. Also only seems to effect the higher gears when I’m going faster than 30-35+mph. I’m assuming it’s a clutch or transmission issue of some kind? Any help would be great.

If you find the bike revs up but the bike doesn't accelerate the clutch is slipping.
It will be more noticeable in higher gears because of the ratio of the trans applying force on the clutch.

Do not lug the engine and you will likely be fine, but if it has started you should plan to replace the clutch and pressure plate in the future.
The S10 uses a diaphragm clutch spring not the usual 5 or 6 coil springs/pressure plate used on many motorcycles.

The stock spring may have lost some tension and new diaphragm spring may fix the issue, but Barnett also offers a replacement pressure plate which converts it to the six coil spring arrangement I mentioned.

I would flush the clutch fluid as well, but your description is textbook slipping clutch. Do not lug the engine run higher revs in lower gears and your issue will likely disappear.

Did you recently change the engine oil? Also, do you use the manufacturers recommended amount and type? Since it is a wet clutch, you may only need to top off the correct fluids.

I got a Barnett after seeing the reviews. It improved an already good clutch feel. Mine came with 3 sets of springs. I'm running 3 stiff and 3 intermediates.
