Sorry about that. San Marcos Texas. You can fly into Austin or San Antonio and I can pick you up and it will make for a great ride home.
I painted it with a Urethane matte that is (spill proof), meaning, you can spill anything you want on it and it wipes right off. I used the same but in black for my Harley .

Small world...went to college there in SM, transferred to UT then finished up at Berkeley. Quite the difference from UT to Bezerkley lol. My buddy is looking for an S10, I'll let him know.

Re: 2012 Super Tenere

It has been brought to my attention that I may be seeking too much for my bike and that I should look at cycletrader to see what they are selling for. I have just done that and I believe I am asking too little if I look at the average. That's if the bike was stripped.Looking at the accessories alone listed, the value of them amounts to over $6000, which means I am actually selling my bike for $2500. Seriously, everything listed in my sig is part of the deal.

Re: 2012 Super Tenere

Since you brought up the topic. I stopped working a number of years ago and keep myself busy buying/fixing up/selling bikes as a hobby. Another buddy just purchased a 2013 S10 3 months ago. It was a bit more loaded/farkled than yours (about $8000 retail) with a little less mileage (15K). He paid $8200 then another $600 for shipping. It was also a TX bike. I personally don't put much value in farkles but, I think you are in the ball park price wise. New paint can be a turn off to buyers (regardless of color) in my experiences.

I recently picked up a 2013 KLR650. It was fully loaded with aftermarket goodies (about $4500 worth). As I always do I stripped them off and sold/selling them separately. If I had left them on I might have gotten an additional $500-600. I sold the hard bags for $400, crash bars for $100, seat for $200, extra rear wheel for $400 and still have another $800 I'll get for the rest of the farkles. Just my experiences...

I passed a link to my buddy on your bike...GLWS!

Re: 2012 Super Tenere

Appreciate it. As mentioned, I'll accept offers. I had a bike shop in San Marcos mainly Harleys and customs and am well aware of farkles and not holding their value. At the end of the day, anyone who ends up with it will not have to spend money on farkles.

I think the problem isn't the bike or what you have, it's in conveying what a buyer would get. You've got nearly $6,000 in accessories and the ad just doesn't make that part clear.

Re: 2012 Super Tenere

Hey Derek,

I PM'd you. Just so you know, a lot of people (including myself) read the forums from a phone. I had to log in from desktop to see the sig. The sigs don't show up on phones. So all people are seeing is one picture of your bike and a price. I think you'll find if you post a lot of pictures (include some closeups) and detailed info about the bike (including service history) you'll get more action. I sold a much less desirable bike in less than a week because I put up a ton of pics and details. I even took closeups of all the flaws I could find. You're asking people that could be hundreds/thousands of miles away to make a pretty big commitment, so giving as much info up front will make them more comfortable.

Again just a suggestion and I am interested.
