Finnaly an "unveiling" in my neighborhood. Will this just be a look see or do we get to ride it? ;)

Hi Sean, thanks for the info. Do you happen to know the schedule for this bike after it leaves your location? I am in San Diego and want to find a dealer closer to be able to see it.

@toompine - this is the Factory show bike from Yamaha North American Headquarters in Cypress, CA. At this point it is not looking like any demo rides will be permitted; however, if anything changes I'll be sure to let you know! Or just show up on Saturday and if we can make a demo happen, we will!

@SpeedStar - Devin, thanks for your call today. I've logged a call to my rep to see if he has a line on the So. Cal. display schedule. I'll keep you posted.

Awesome! I'll do my best to make it in early. I work that day, and live kinda far away.

I placed my ST order with Roseville Yamaha back in early January, sight unseen. Will be nice to meet everyone at the shop in person.

Well, I went early, saw and touched and sat on. :p Gonna be a long wait until August.

I didn't stick around long cause I had to head back south to work. In case anyone was there before 10 am, I was the short bald guy in the blue shirt. It was great to actually sit on the bike and be able to flat foot it. I have a 29" inseam and some adventure bikes can be a challenge to do this on. The ST is going to be perfect for me with the seat on low setting.

I'd like to thank to all the staff at Roseville Yamaha, had a good visit.

Had to work 8-5 today so no joy...... :'(

TierHawg- See you're in Elk...VERY cool little town. Pass through there on a regular basis riding up and down the coast. Will have to try to hook up when (someday) we get our bikes. :)

Went to this today. It was fun to see the bike again. I saw it at the IMS in November last year and got to sit on it with the seat high and the seat low. Seat High fit me great!!!
The Corporate dufus who left the bike at this dealer did not leave the key and had the seat in the low position, so sitting on it in the short rider position was not a good confirmation of my decision to purchase.
Not cancelling my order, but Corporate is not brilliant at marketing this bike for tall riders! Tall riders need bikes that fit them just like the squatty bodies!

2XADV, if you don't mind, what is your height/inseam?

Ptfjjj,

I am 6'7" with an inseam of 34-35 inches. My boots are size 15/euro 50. My knees fit the indent in the tank/fairing just right. I think up to a 37 inseam will fit the tank without having to scooch back a little on the seat to prevent contact.

Hey Sean, any chance the bike will be there a couple more days? Or is it packed up already. I worked Saturday.
