Noteable people.. Guess their identities.

First is someone who has posted on this forum and supported it very well. In addition, he has assisted me at Niehaus Cycles in our business as a Twisted Throttle dealer.

Next is a person that you may have seen in one classic motorcycle movie. He started as a Husky dealer, but I told him that he had to give the Bultaco "Thumbs Up" sign if he wanted a pic with me. ;D

And last, there is this young lady who told me that she would support Bultaco and give a "Thumbs Up" if I supported her. I forgot to ask her what she did for a living, so I guess, so much for my support.

I don't know if they have a price yet, but being a limited production bike built in Birmingham, AL, I think it will be another item out of my price range.

I think Ive read they are going to be $45-55K I think.... I think I would rather have a Super Tenere, take the rest of the money and ride around the world for a year..... ::012::

Gah! I get to read about the Indy dealer expo every year and see all these pictures, but alas, I am a lowly civilian with no pass. ::007:: It's in my back yard, man!

Have fun in Indy and thank you for the pictures and info! Great job!

Now that was a great report, almost like being there. Interesting that the vendors used the ST. Thanks Fred.

I didn't get her name. She said that her old job hadn't been working out, so she is now selling Spectro Oil.

I swear that I have seen her somewhere before. ;)

BTW, the gentleman in the Twisted Throttle shirt is our own Kev, who has supported this forum and has been our Twisted Throttle contact person. I have corresponded with him quite a bit, but never had the chance to meet him. I asked him if I could take a pic to prove that there really is a Kev from TT.

I also met Chris, who has been the dealer support person for our dealer and he has gone beyond the call of duty to support us.

TT had a big display featuring their products on seveal bikes. No ST in their display, but otherwise it was first class. ;D

I think the Super Tenere has been something completely new and simply something different to a GS BMW!! Even over the different genres' of bikes which are out there, nothing has created a NEW SPARK for along time and done well like the TENERE. I don't think the VFR 1200 from the last year or so has done that well. I think I have maybe seen ONE out driving around. Sure, the Triumphs have sparked some competition for the 800 class of bikes, but for the masses? Fred, how many vendor booths had a Tiger 800 for gear at the show? Either Fred's camera didn't develop the pictures, or there just werent that many!!! I am guessing of course, but sure seems to be a lot of of Teneres there dressed up for the Adventure to begin.

Cool!!..Kev looks like he could be your son.

So, the Scala Rider is highly recommend by Fred? I'll have to check it out. A friend of mine just picked up a Sena bluetooth headset and although it's super easy to operate, one of the contact pins already broke.

Hi Jeff,

I believe that I saw 1 or 2, but am not sure what products they might have been used for display. I know that last year there was one with bags, etc, but if there were any this year, they weren't very prominent.

Here are 2 pics from last year of 800's with bags. I don't recall seeing any like that this year.

Very nice Fred, thanks.

It's good to see Malcum Smith with the thumb up. Six time winner of the Baja 500, as I recall, (3 times on a bike and 3 times in a car), and six time winner of the ISDT. He's a living legend.

Regards, Paul

I just went back and corrected a lot of typos in my posts. My only excuse is that I was posting them after midnight last night and was tired after 3 days in Indy.

Really, I'm a pretty good speller, but not a very good typist. :)

Glad you are enjoying the report. My pleasure to do it and I hope to be able to do another report next year.
