Admittedly, I haven't had a lot of bikes in my life. I got this 2012 Tenere about three weeks ago. It was a progression from a Suzuki Burgman 400 to a Honda NC 700 to the Tenere in about 15 months.
I had been off bikes for 32 years.
Just got back from two 300 mile days. I don't have the words to properly express how impressed I am with the Tenere..
For a 6'2" frame, this bike is wonderful! I'm 59 yo and feel like I could do the IB 10000 easily. In fact, I probably will ' just to say I did..
I rode to N Ark to get some panniers for my upcoming Grand Canyon trip (June 6). It will be a great bike for the trip!
Was concerned about all the "chatter" it made but it goes like no other bike I ever had!
Made 46 mpg on the way up and 43 on the way back doing a steady 75 mph the whole way.
Duly impressed am i!
Hope this bike stays under me for a long time!

From all the long term owner reviews I've read, it will easily last a long time if you service it at every necessary interval. Welcome aboard!
