I will share a room, I am not a camper. I like a hot meal and a hot shower. I am flexible with dates/route. I am on vacation and am looking for a good ride to a place I have never been. I can meet up with you and then ride up to Limey's place. I will pm you my number.
Sounds good, we will discuss it as the time gets nearer, thanks ::008::

The sharing of the room saves money ;D

Booked a room at Mountain Ridge Motel for June 29th, 30th, July 1st, July 3rd, 4th, 5th, and leaving on the 6th.

Limey, I am also headed to other parts. Probably not going to all the same places but we might be able to share some road time. Lets talk.

I need to visit Haines before I leave Alaska. The peninsula looks interesting with camping and maybe fishing. Have a motorcycle friend that lives there. The rest of AK is fair game.

Guys, my plan before I found out about this event was to hit Deadhorse in July, I'm still planning on going up after the event.

Maybe we can continue as a group up to Deadhorse after the event ;D

Troll said on the first page "The local Dealership has also agreed to provide a tent on site at the dealership"

I'm thinking of riding up with my street tires and have knobbies installed there for the rest of the trip up to Deadhorse, does anyone know the name of the dealer in Whitehorse?

Tires are definitely something that’s gonna take some planning, especially in my case coming from so far. Although I haven’t blown out the stock battlewings yet, I’m going to the Heidenau K60s this week and see how those work out for a couple months. My current plan is to put some more street worthy tires on in May, maybe even a new set of battlewings, for the ride up in June and then have Yukon Yamaha put another set of Heidies on for the doins’ up there and the ride back since I might want them for some places I’m planning to hit. Right now I just don’t know if the Heidenaus are good for touring that far. I haven’t contacted Yukon Yamaha yet, but I suppose there’s a point in time we should get them in the loop on our individual plans so they're ready for us.

I just removed my rear K60 that had 8,500 miles on it , but it still has at least 1,000 more miles left on it. I just needed a tire to go 3,000 this week.

::014:: oh boy, this thing is really starting to come together. I like to see everybody making plans to get to Whitehorse. For any of you that need service from Yukon Yamaha, you should probably contact them and let them know what those services might be. Jason and the crew have agreed to try to provide any personal service necessary. If you have particular tire needs you will need to send them the tires or let them know what you want so they can order them in advance. In most cases you will be able to buy tires in the United States cheaper than here in Canada. The dealership has a tire machine but they do not keep a big stock of tires.

This is sure going to be fun.

Yes tires. I currently have 3500 km on the Tourance's, wear seems to be minimal. What have others got for mileage, there seems to be a large variance on other web sites.
I will probably go to K60 next. However may stick with Tourance as they seem to do well in other reports off road and most of the trip (90%) is on tar or hardpack.

I had the Tourance tires and they were ok when new, but the rear was gone at 3760 miles. Down to the wear bars and squared off.. I really did not like it toward the end.
I put Conti Trail Attack back on. Like them so far, but not enough miles yet to give a report on.

I think I am going to try and stop by for a dinner or something. I will be doing a IBA UCC on my S10. It looks like the dates might just work out.

I found this by accident doing a Google search for the North Canol Road. REM have been keeping this a secret? Do we need bring guns? I guess they will go after the slower Blue bikes first.
