Right now on this forum there is a loaded one for $13k. You do the math!!! That would be a better buy!!!

Actually, that sounds like a pretty good deal for a bike w full warranty, especially if you could avoid any frieght and set up fees! I would seriously consider a demo Tenere w 149 miles at that price.

Of course, you should expect to drop another $2.5K- $3.5K on accessories to make it worthy of respectable comfort. Or more, if your pockets are deeper.

-good luck.

I'm guessing $12500 is before TTL and any extended YES warranty, which would make it a pretty small discount from what you can get a brand new one for.

That said, it's still a discount and probably a decent deal.

As HoebSTer said, check out the for sale section. There's quite a deal there (with full YES warranty), and if the accessories aren't to your taste someone will be happy to pay you for them.

I just finished the transaction on my replacement S10 which gets picked up tomorrow. I have been told by the dealer (a decent friend of mine) to make an offer to the forum if you a TRULY serious about a new S10. The price is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP and includes prep, setup, and the dealers paperwork fee. What is does NOT include are taxes, plus any end user motor vehicle fees (title fee, plate fee, registration, etc.).

This ASSUMES HE CAN STILL OBTAIN THEM from within a reasonable distance of his store. Color will be whatever he can obtain. The dealership is located about one hour north of Phildelphia PA. PM me for details but PLEASE don't waste my time just trying to find out what the price is....be SERIOUS about a purchase. It WILL be worth your time if you are withing a days ride of Phildelphia, PA.

Everybody on here will speak of the deals they got. Don't sweat it to much, this motorcycle bone stock is worth every bit of the $14.5K msrp. Offer him $13.2 OTD or check out the loaded one for 13k which has a transferable yes plan i believe, and do a fly and ride if the numbers work out. We all look forward to seeing pictures of your new steed. Its irresistible once you sit on it!

Yep,
Paid cash and full MSRP 1 day after it arrived as a failed-sale-PDP.
(many waited nearly a year. I waited about 10 minutes)
Then paid $600 for YES
Then paid $1400.00 for 3 year service contract.

This all from a guy who RARELY buys brand new and PRIDES himself on purchasing used bikes, trucks, and cars at really good value. Family and friends often ask for my help in finding them deals too.

I said all that to say this; the Super Tenere is worth every penny. The service contract has already been worth it. (I never have let anyone touch my bikes. But being treated as a VIP is nicer than I imagined. Good guys at local dealer) the warranty may end up being a waste for all of us, although I paid a bit more than most.

But again, this bike is one of those I wouldn't spend too much time agonizing over a few hundred bucks. It's just not worth it to NOT have one RIGHT NOW. :)

Go get one.

I agree with snakbitten. I paid full retail. Hard to do at the time. But I love this bike, If it cost $5000.00 More today I would still buy it. ::012::
I promised myself two things when I decided to buy this bike. 1. I was not going to sweat about whether I got a great deal or a good deal. I ordered from a reputable place and live with the OTD price of 14, 800 which is good for AZ 2. I don't care what my gas mileage is. I am gonna run it hard and fast and not look back. Oh, and I don't worry about scratches either. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!

Buy the demo. If it has a warranty, you have no risk.

You have the right idea in my book too. These things are our passion. I worked hard for years to raise my family and provide for those that depended on me. At this point in my life, I get to enjoy just a few things that are for me.

Like you say, a few bucks either way, a few mpg either way, and some nicks or scratches just don't matter on this. Pack it down like a mule. Jump in the saddle. And point it where I want it to take me. I think Yamaha has built me a masterpiece for doing just that.

Worth every penny.

Wow, exactly where I am in my life. Time to cash in some chips, and the wife and kids agree I deserve it :)

P.S. If they didn't think I deserve it, I'd say screw them and would have bought one anyway!

Compared to us Brits it is!

I paid £9400 for my six month old 150 mile Ex-Dem = $14750!

But UK list price is £11,999 = $18830

Still my deal saved over 20% for an as-new bike, and we need all the help we can get in "Rip-Off Britain", $12,500 would not get you a 2 year old Tenere with 10,000 miles on the clock over here. What is even crazier is you guys pay about 30% less for Triumphs which are made just up the road from me ???

Rejoice in your excellent pricing regardless of if the bike is new or used

Well, if it makes you feel any better, they suck Texas crude out of the ground on my street! And I still pay more for petrol than folks we export it to in Wisconsin!

But that is probably another bad example for you folks in the MotherLand. :)

About $3.25 a gallon currently. (Still way too damn high in my opinion)

Well I did it.
All the paperwork had been sent of to get the money rolling my way. It should be done by next week and I will go pick up the bike.
They have pulled it off the floor and have it in the back waiting on me to come pick up.
Now I have the cheep part done I bought the bike.
