The 19 front will be a bias ply tire, not a radial. It's a little taller and depending on the brand, might rub the fender. I don't think you'll be able to find a 150/80-17 rear tire. If there's one available, I don't know what brand it is. My thinking is why try to fix something that isn't broke??? JMO

Increasing the aspect ratio (especially the front) of the tires will slow the handling down, making it more work to initiate turns. I'm not sure what the advantage would be over the OEM spec tires. They might even be more expensive given they're less common sizes.

Have to be careful out back. Take a look at how little space there is between the tire and caliper brace. I wanted more width on the tire(s) but couldn't find one that would fit the rear.

Thanks for your replies. I've been running many, many 705's and they're great, and priced super well but 5k miles on the rear is maxxed. Since I've not had any problems with with the Shinko 705"s I went to Shinko's website and they have a Tour Master I thought I'd try. The sizing is in that 110 90/19F and 150 80/17R. Just fishing for something a bit quieter and cheap.
