Said Bye to the Tenere Today...

I think BMW has gotten a lot better with their dependability, although still no where close to Yamaha's. Going into a dealership and seeing the service line is not a real good way to judge. While up north does have a few more dealers than down here, its still a small number given the amount of...

Said Bye to the Tenere Today...

It still has 9 months of warrenty and way more miles than what I would drive in that timeline. However I did buy another 2yrs from the dealer I think they gave me a good price on it, plus its unlimited millage.

Said Bye to the Tenere Today...

Ya it has the quick shift pro :) Down side to that is to get a smooth up shift you need to be at 5,500RPM. That means going from 3rd to 4th I'm already doing 90 :) The bike moves, you don't even feel it in comparison to the S10. Really going to take a while to get used to it, hopefully...

Said Bye to the Tenere Today...

Well after about 4yrs I said bye to the Tenere today and said hello to a 2017 BMW R1200RT. Yes, complete 180 on the style of bike lol Was just wanting to get something a little more sporty and comfortable for myself and for my wife. I never could get the Tenere dialed in for me in regards to...

    Lithium Battery

I don't really coast with the clutch in, when the bike has died its been within a second of me pulling in the clutch. With that said, I'm always at the lower of the RPM range of the gear I'm in because I'm just letting the bike engine break. So I guess its possible that its not liking that...

    Lithium Battery

So my second day after installing the battery and I had the bike die on me yet again, this time in a different area but same circumstances. I doing about 65 to 70 on the freeway and coming up on my exit. I just let off the throttle and let the S10 do what it does well engine break to bleed off...

    Lithium Battery

Re: New Battery Bad sounds like its going out on me. Always wanted to put an after market in, maybe now is the time time to do it. Kind of shocked though after only 3 years it would puter out. I've used the horn on the bike maybe a dozen times so its not like it gets used a lot.

    Lithium Battery

Re: New Battery Ya the battery I got is 360CA at 32 degrees and is 2.3lbs, quite a bit difference in weight from OEM. I live in San Diego so I really have no issues with it being at 32 degrees, not to mention at 32 degrees I'd probably not ride anyways :D Everything seems to be working fine...

    Lithium Battery

Re: New Battery I have not, just installed it tonight and went for a short ride. The random stall was pretty random, happened maybe 2 or 3 times a month. Seemed to always happen on the freeway on ramp, although I did have it stall a few times on side roads. I'm hoping it will, if nothing else...

What 90/10 tires is everyone running now?

I've been running the Continental Trail Attack 2 tires for a while, I've been really happy with them. I'm not 100% sure on my milage on them, but they are around 7k.

    Lithium Battery

New Battery So I have 2015 Super Tenere that I bought new towards the end of 2015. The bike has always sounded like it struggled to turn over, in fact the very first thing out of the service manager's mouth was that this bike turned over slow. In the last couple weeks I've noticed the bike...

    Bike Stalling Out

I used to blip a long time ago till I had it die on me lol Someone on this forum explained to me on why that is common to happen, so I just stopped doing it. So the bike has not been down shift blip for maybe 2yrs. The times its died are just straight up pulling in the clutch anticipating...

    Bike Stalling Out

Thanks guys, for some reason I thought the last time I was in for service the dealer told me the 12k service was the synch. I just remember him saying that at 12,000 the service was going to be a lot more expensive because it is the first "Service" to the bike. Guess I'll try and find my...

    Bike Stalling Out

So this has happen to me two times recently and its a bit unnerving... I know there have been a few post about this issue, but I've not been able to go through them all to see if there is a possible solution. I'll be taking my bike in next week for the 12,000 service so I was hoping to gather...

Under headlight cover/beak mod for Denali bracket

I installed the same lights and brackets on my 2015 a few months ago. I had to do zero modifications to the bike in order for the brackets to get put on, they just bolt right in. I also purchased the light module, love that thing. Lights are incredibly bright...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Finally got around to getting my amateur/ham radio setup on my bike. I had one on my old bike, was basically just an HT on the handle bars. This time around I went a little further and actually mounted an antenna on my top box. Mounted it on one of the cross bars on my Outback box, then used...

    Auxiliary light Beam Pattern Selection

I just purchased the Denali D4 2.0 lights which are a "hybrid" type light. You can make them full spot if you desired which literary will light up a mile down the road lol.. I also purchased the module that allows them to go from 100% with brights on to 50% with just low beam on. The lights...
