So the valve clearances are fine. Have put in new spark plugs, new air filter. Thought all the connections, hoses, throttle bodies, gas lines all went together as they should. No nuts and bolts left over. But it won't start. Almost catches but stops just short of that. Have read the thread...

Removed the spark plugs to check the valve clearances - found sand on this one. I don't ride it in sand but I did ride it in the winter when there was sand/salt/grit on the road. How do I prevent this??
