No it's a UK and European Yamaha thing too.. All Yams have it.. It's specifically matched to your ecu. If you lose it you must replace the ECU and the key. Yamaha dealers will only cut you a spare key from the red. It's also used to re-program a standard key by dealers. Keep it safe .. DONT...

TBH I take all fuel gauges with a pinch of salt.... Brim it with fuel... Ride it for 200 miles then brim it again, work out you fuel consumption from there. Do it a couple of times to get an average MPG.. And work out you range less 50 miles for a reserve. Greg

Re: Factory heated grips I thought I saw a thread on here that the Oxford grips integrated into the heated grip wires (Already on the bike) Work as the oem integrated grips. You don't use the Oxford controller but the bikes integrated one, via the onboard display. Greg

The only solution I can see is to cut the end of the grip off by about 8mm so it doesn't interfere with the throttle housing.. Then don't slide the grip all the way in against the housing.. Do a few dry runs before final fitting though. You could get a black washer like the standard one thats...
