When did your fork seals go?

Around 40,000 kms on mine with Kreiga covers and no problem yet. Lots of hard use in dirt and gravel. Did the Dempster both directions (1700 kms of dirt) in 2.5 days last year no problemo.

    K60 persistant bead/rim leak

Our local independent BMW shop owner says 8 out 10 Hidies he puts on the GS's and GSA's leak air. I have had no trouble with the 2 sets I have gone through on the S-10.

Ride through Valley of the Gods on the S-10.

The tire are good in all conditions, I just put 7000 kms in the last 2 weeks on this set and rode them hard in sand, gravel and on pavement wet and dry. They are a better tire than the Hidies I think, but they are not going to last as long. The back spins easy on dry pavement under the throbbing...

    Glowing ST?

Yes I have when I first got it home. My neighbor here in the building is an aircraft N.D.T. inspector and I asked if he would check it. There was no reading out of the ordinary. I have a photo of it being done here somewhere.....

Road and weather advice needed from California and Nevada riders

I know when we go down there around the end of April we stay away from anything 5000 ASL as we nearly always find snow and most passes are not open or cleaned yet.

Attaching a hatchet and a machete to your bags, you gotta good idea ?

I have my folding saw and hatchet mounted to the underside of the lid on the R/H alum. bag. They have to be solid other wise they drop down on stuff. I have mine mounted with industrial Velcro, not good enough.

    OH EXPLETIVE DELETED!

The tire was seated fine as we rotated the tire on the balancer with the indicator needle pointed at the fine line just above the rim on the tire, it was dead even. We did the same thing on the corner of the first row of knobs on the side wall and they were also dead even. When rotating the tire...

    Heidenau k60 Scouts

That is exactly what happens, its easier to handle the back end sliding out than the front, so you are indeed correct. What ever you can do to keep that front end where you want it, the back end will take care of its self.

Insurance Rates in Saskatchewan Canada go up 300 percent for Motorcycles.

That is crazy, what is covered for that? I pay around $40.00 for the plate every year and about $250.00 a year for insurance that covers $2 mil.. liability only, no theft, fire or comprehensive. The only reason I am paying that much is because they classify the bike as a 1200 cc sport bike. I...

    Givi Crash bar review

My 2 cents, I have slammed the bike down on both sides hard. The first was a slime concrete water crossing just like yours and the one in the video. I went down so fast and hard I did not have time to take feet off pegs or hands off handle bars. I slid for about 6 feet, loud scrape noise, brand...
