The weatherstrips on the tank, mainly the left and right side, are prone to holding in water. I had my tank off to do service and checked into it. Pulled the strips off, sanded, primed and painted. Also put a little gasket maker to seal them up and keep water out.

My forks were leaky, and there were black streaks that wouldnt clean off with degreaser, so I replaced the legs. This gave me a chance to play with the old ones. The first pic shows the streaks and sanding with 2000 grit, which didnt do much. The 2nd photo shows what happened with red scuff...

I know the locks can be swapped out, but can they be rebuilt so the tumblers will match the ignition/key??

My forks need a rebuild, but thats winter activity. 150mm is what the manual says with the springs removed, but how about with springs installed??? I just want to check it and top it off to get through the couple of months. Thanks!
