Thanks for the suggestions and input. I replaced it this past weekend with a Mobil 1 M1-108 filter. I verified it was the concave style of filter before purchasing. No more leaks, and I was able to just top it off. Again, prior to the big leak I noticed, I had the bike sitting on the side...

Second guessed myself so I had to go check. Turns out I used the Purolator PL14612 this time around. Seems weird that it made it this long without leaking, but I bet that's the problem.

I used a Wix filter this time, but I've had it on there for better than 1,000 miles.

It's been off road, but not for a couple of years, and even then it was with the bash plate on. That plate isn't letting anything past it either. Bombproof!!!

I just changed out my air filter for a K&N. Now I'm experiencing a bog if I go WOT and RPM stays at 5,000. If I let up of of the throttle, the bike will continue to accelerate. Any ideas? I'm heading back out to give it another look.

Keep us posted on the long term wear. I'm curious to see how other's look after the first 3,000 miles or so. I wish the front would wear like the rear did.

Could be that you had the old formula. My rear had way more tread left than the one in your pic. Probably good enough for another 2000 miles, but the front was so badly copied I didn't trust it any longer. I've heard good things about the Mitas as well.

A final tally of 4,800 miles, and the Big Bores are off of the bike. They always felt good in basically any conditions. Having knobs in some of the rougher terrain was nice, but just not worth the longevity to me. I'm trying a set of Full Bore M40's this time around. Hope it's the right...
