Anyone In North Dakota Gotta ST?

I need to start checking this forum more often. I think I've got the only one in Williston. Dealer here still has 1 in the crate and 1 in the showroom.

    Honda xr650l fever

http://www.dirtrider.com/tests/parts-accessories/141_0412_baja_xr650r_dirtbike_electric_start_kit/ I still like my old tech L though. The only thing that ever goes wrong is the CDI, and carrying a $100 spare fixes that. It is also far from slow, I can easily spin up the rear on gravel in 4th...

    Honda xr650l fever

I have a lightly modified 1997 XR650L I recently bought. I love it. It is a great compliment to the Tenere for going faster on worse roads. Honda recently released the 2014 XRL, which makes for 21 years with no changes. I guess they got it right the first time. ::012::

    K60s and Sand

Pirelli Scorpion Rally is also something to consider. I wore out a set on mine and they worked well in loose conditions. Lots of forward drive. It will get a bit tail happy though since the knobs are basically solid bars. I got 2700 miles out of mine and I have a lead wrist.

    Windscreens that work?

I've had both, I'm very happy with the Touratech. The madstad with the stock screen didn't help at all, and when I put my Cal-Sci XL on it, it would never stay in the position I wanted. If you do the get the Touratech, I'd make sure you have the 4 knobs as tight as possible because they can...

    Hello from the Bakken, ND

Thanks for the welcomes! Yup, that works, and I think I can scrape up a couple more pics, though I have only had my Tenere for 4 days.

    Hello from the Bakken, ND

Hello fellow Tenere owners from Williston, North Dakota. I picked mine up on Wednesday from the local Yamaha dealer where it had sat for nearly a year. I am a little surprised it sat for so long since it is perfectly suited to the terrain up here, gravel roads and 2 lane highways. I've...
