    Brake Bleeding Question

I installed the RideON ADV longer brake and clutch lines last weekend and did not bleed the lines. I added fluid slowly while pumping the brake and clutch levers until all bubbles were removed from the reservoir. I then put the covers on and pumped levers a few more times, took covers off and...

    Aftermarket seat questions

After my 150 mile ride on Saturday, I am ready to do something about my stock seat. I am 6' tall and weigh 215. My issue is pain in the sitting bones (not the tailbone). Looking at the stock seat, I need to sit further to the back for the width, but if you look at thickness of foam (the...

    Traction Control - My Imagination??

I did about 150 miles today (all paved road dry conditions) and tried switching off the TC and driving in boring Touring Mode. With the TC off the Touring Mode felt more "lively" and my mileage was up a few mpg. Does the bike perform slightly better with the TC off?

ERGOS - Need help from a former V Strom Owner

I am having one heck of a time tuning in my Super T so it is as comfortable as my DL1000 was. I am not comparing the performance of the two bikes, but my DL was so much more comfortable for me to ride long distances (150 - 200 miles). I had the Suzuki Gel seat and stock handlebars on the...

    Footpeg Lowering

Has anyone seen foot peg lowering kits around for the S10? SW Motech has pegs that can lower 0.6 inches, but I want more drop and don't need new pegs. I had the Motorcycle Larry's kit on my VStrom and I really liked it, but I don't see anything on his website for the S10. It seems like the...

    Handlebars and upper back pain

I took a 150 mile ride yesterday and had so much pain between my shoulders that I really had to get off the bike. I have been playing with the handlebar position since I git the bike (now have 1100 miles), and first rotated the bars back in the stock clamps. This helped a little, but still not...

Cee Bailey vs Yamaha Wind Wings

Does anyone know if the Yamaha and Cee Bailey wind deflector wings are the same thing? If not, does one seem to be better than the other?

Question on sport vs touring mode, traction control

Is it OK to switch between sport and touring mode while you are moving but not applying throttle? Are there any advantages to turning the traction control off while driving on dry paved roadways?

    Question for the spoke gurus

I am a new S10 owner coming from a DL1000, which I loved (except for the chain!). When I bought the Tenere I didn't even think about the spokes till I started reading this forum. Now I am kicking myself for not seeing this as an added maintenance burden (maybe not quite as much as the chain)...

New Owner coming from DL1000 VStrom

Hello everyone and thanks for this great forum! I just traded in my 08 Vstrom last Friday and picked up a sparkling new blue Tenere. I did so with conflicted feelings as I LOVED my DL1000 (17,000 miles in 2 years), but I really wanted shaft drive and better suspension. I'm hoping the Tenere...
